The orthopedic wing buzzed with its usual chaos, the air thick with the smell of disinfectant and stress. Dr. Im Nayeon moved like a whirlwind, her sharp voice cutting through the din of nervous chatter among the interns.

"If you could stop stumbling around like newborn calves, that'd be great," she snapped, her gaze narrowing on a clumsy intern who had just dropped a tray of surgical instruments. "I don't have time to babysit today!"

As she turned to bark another order, the click of heels echoed through the corridor. All heads turned toward the source of the sound. Dr. Manobal Lalisa entered the wing with a confident stride, her scrubs perfectly tailored and her expression a mix of charm and authority.

"Lisa," Nayeon greeted with a dry tone, crossing her arms. "Gracing us with your presence, finally? I thought you were too busy surfing in Bali to bother with us mere mortals."

Lalisa smirked, adjusting her name tag as if to remind everyone who she was. "Please, the waves can wait. Saving lives is way more fun. Now, where's the ortho disaster I've been summoned to fix?"

Nayeon tilted her head toward an overflowing chart tray. "Take your pick. It's like a buffet of broken bones and botched surgeries in here."

"Perfect," Lisa replied with a wink, grabbing a chart and striding off. The interns watched her leave, awe-stricken.

"Pick your jaws up off the floor," Nayeon snapped at them. "She's just another doctor, not a K-drama lead."

In the middle of the commotion, Min Yoongi shuffled into the wing, carrying a pile of patient files that looked like they might collapse at any moment. His quiet demeanor and perpetually tired expression didn't save him from Nayeon's sharp gaze.

"Min!" she barked, making him freeze mid-step. "Room 12. Dr. Manobal is working on a tricky femoral fracture. She needs an extra pair of hands, and since you're wandering around aimlessly, you're it."

"Dr. Manobal? Who is that?" Yoongi asked, blinking.

"Do I have to prepare a PowerPoint presentation to introduce to you all the residents around this hospital? Get your ass in room 12 Yoongi or you'll be the one having broken bones."

"But-"

"Go. Now," Nayeon snapped, waving him off impatiently.

Yoongi nodded quickly, muttering, "Yes, Dr. Im." He hurried to Room 12, still clutching the precarious stack of files.

When he entered, Dr. Manobal was already in full command of the room, her tone brisk but calm as she instructed a nurse on prepping the patient. She glanced up as Yoongi walked in, her sharp eyes assessing him in an instant.

"Are you here to help or to stare at me like I'm a celebrity?" she teased, her tone laced with amusement.

Yoongi straightened, flustered. "Dr. Im sent me to assist. I'm Min Yoongi, one of the interns."

"Lucky me," Lalisa said with a smirk. "Grab some gloves, Yoongi. You're officially my shadow for the next hour."

---

Over the course of the procedure, Yoongi found himself both impressed and intimidated by Lalisa's confidence. She worked with a level of precision that belied her casual demeanor, explaining each step of the process without missing a beat.

"You've got steady hands," Lalisa remarked as Yoongi assisted with holding the drill. "Most interns would be sweating bullets right now."

"Uh, thanks," Yoongi mumbled, focusing intently on not messing up.

"Relax," Lalisa said with a chuckle, her voice softer. "You're doing fine. Ortho's about being decisive. Bones don't wait for you to figure things out."

By the time they finished, Yoongi was exhausted but quietly proud. Lalisa peeled off her gloves and turned to him with a grin.

"Not bad, Yoongi," she said. "You didn't faint or fumble, which makes you officially better than most interns I've worked with. I might have to steal you for my next case."

Yoongi's ears turned pink. "Uh, thanks, Dr. Manobal."

"Call me Lisa," she said with a wink. "Dr. Manobal makes me sound old."

She grabbed the patient's chart and left the room, her confident stride leaving Yoongi standing there, his heart pounding slightly faster than usual.

Later that evening, the interns gathered in the breakroom, trading stories about their day. Yoongi sat quietly, replaying the events of the day in his mind, particularly Lalisa's teasing smile and the way she had effortlessly commanded the room.

"Yoongi," Sana said, waving a hand in front of his face. "Earth to Yoongi. You okay?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah," Yoongi replied, snapping out of his thoughts.

Sana grinned. "Let me guess. Dr. Manobal?."

Yoongi blinked. "How'd you-"

"Everyone talks about her," Jihyo said with a knowing smirk. "Top of her class, skills like an attending level. Got some crush on her or do your bones get wobbly around her?"

"Don't tease him," Sana said, though her grin suggested she was enjoying the moment. "Yoongi's too pure for all that drama."

"I'm not-" Yoongi began, but Jungkook cut him off.

"You totally are," Jihyo said, laughing. "But seriously, if you're going to crush on someone, you could do worse than Dr. Manobal. Just try not to pass out next time she winks at you."

Yoongi groaned, burying his face in his hands as the others laughed. But deep down, he couldn't help but wonder if Lalisa had noticed him the same way he'd noticed her.
