Inside the trauma room, Dr. Kim Jisoo stood beside Chaeryong, a young woman with burns snaking down her neck to her belly. The woman winced as another contraction tore through her body.

"Dr. Minatozaki, book an OR," Jisoo commanded sharply without looking up. "This baby's in distress, and Chaeryong isn't in any condition to push. We'll need to perform a C-section immediately."

Sana, who had been staring at Jisoo from the corner of her eye, blinked out of her thoughts.

"Sana?" Jisoo's voice cut through the tension. "Do you need something, or are you just going to stand there?"

"No, Dr. Kim," Sana replied, shaking her head. She hurried out of the room to follow the order.

Chaeryong's voice quivered as she spoke. "Can... can I call a lawyer? I don't have a will, and there's no father..."

Jisoo placed a steady hand on the woman's shoulder, her tone softening. "There's no need for alarm. We've got time for you to make the necessary arrangements. Let's focus on you and your baby first."

Sana moved briskly through the ER, passing Jeon Jungkook, who was suturing a gash on a woman's forehead.

"Does that hurt, Seowon?" Jungkook asked gently.

The woman winced but shook her head. "It's not so bad, but my stomach hurts. Some luggage fell on me during the crash."

Jungkook frowned and gently pressed around the bruised area, noticing her discomfort. "We'll need to get you some X-rays, just to rule out internal injuries."

Seowon's friend, Yoona, stood nearby, her phone glued to her ear. "We're fine," she told whoever was on the other end of the line. "It was that idiot in the truck. Tried to beat the train, and look what happened. Some people just don't think."

Jungkook couldn't help but glance at her, his expression tightening. "We'll take her to radiology now," he said, ignoring Yoona's chatter.

As Seowon was wheeled away, Yoona called out, "Hey, little boy, are you even old enough to be a doctor? You don't look much older than my eldest son!"

Jungkook paused, biting back a retort. "I assure you, ma'am, I'm qualified. Excuse me."

Further down the hallway, Sana hesitated outside a curtained area, hearing a familiar voice inside.

"Ow... ow..."

Sana pulled the curtain back slightly and found Dahyun adjusting her IV. "What are you doing?" she asked, stepping in.

"Inserting my banana bag," Dahyun replied without looking up.

Sana smirked and let the curtain fall behind her. "Need help?"

"Nope. I've got it," Dahyun said before pausing. "So... how's it working with Jisoo? I want to hate her, but I can't. Then again, I have to force myself because, you know, Dong Joo chose her."

Sana tilted her head, arms crossed. "So, have you finalized whether you're mad at her or not?"

Dahyun groaned. "Before you judge me, yes, I know there was a train accident. People are seriously injured. And yes, I'm a vapid narcissist when mixed with fatigue. Satisfied?"

"For what it's worth," Sana said, shrugging, "I take issue with her pink coloured scrubs. I mean, what self-respecting surgeon wears pink?"

Dahyun snorted. "Exactly!"

The two shared a rare moment of levity before Sana patted Dahyun's shoulder and left.
