Krillin, back to his normal self, checked on 18 cautiously. "You better now? No desire to kill Goku or take over the world?"

Her head was still ringing, and she tried to avoid his gaze. "Don't give me your platitudes. None of you cared about us when we were living alone on the street. You only care now because we're a threat."

Gohan, in maid form, made 18 some tea. "It's not like that. We've been busy for the last few years, trying to fend off enemies from space who simply wish to destroy or conquer our planet. We trusted the government to take care of the people."

18 scoffed, sarcasm dripping from every word. "They did a great job."

"Be quiet," Bulma muttered as she watched the monitors showing the battle between Cross and Cell. "Cross herself lost her entire world. You don't see her lashing out at it. Instead, she dedicated her life to protecting copies from other universes."

18 tilted her head, confused, glancing over to 16. "Do you have any idea what they're blabbing about?"

16's voice was cool, calm, and definitely robotic. "My sensors indicate that the one called Cross possesses an unusual energy signature. Based on the conversations we have been hearing, she may be from a parallel Earth, a different dimension."

The monitors came to life, and the two androids looked at them. They saw the recorded logs of the ship as it emerged out of a rainbow wormhole, only to see the Earth embroiled in a battle between a rickety old ship and mechanical dinosaurs, and then the all-consuming black hole. The logs held the audio of Cross's soul being torn apart, her absolute despair as she watched her home be consumed in the black. The monitors then returned to the battle between her and Cell. The androids still weren't completely on board with the Z Fighters, but they began to understand Cross. As a black hole had consumed her world, so too had Cell consumed their brother 17.

Goku reached out a hand. "You guys are tough, and I would love to fight with you more, but right now, what do you say we work together and see if we can't get your brother back?"

18 scoffed. "He was consumed by that monster. How are we supposed to get him back?"

The group turned all their attention to the monitors as Piccolo said softly, "We believe in Cross."
