Cross was stirred awake by a sensation. The dragon, who filled half the gravity room, moved to peer out a window where she saw Krillin floating, smiling, a scouter over one ear and eye. His voice soon carried into the inactive gravity room, "You really made something special, Cross. I never thought I'd get to fly in space like this."

She smiled, "It is something, isn't it?"

"And you have shown amazing growth. You don't even shrink anymore. I think you can stop building mass for gravity training."

The bay doors slowly opened as Cross emerged and circled around Krillin and the pod before landing atop it, taking a long deep breath. "Krillin, would it be okay if I stayed like this?"

He flew over to meet her gaze. "You want to stay a dragon? I mean," he paused, scratching his head nervously, "I can't see why not... can't you still transform?"

She shook her massive head, "Not into my traditional suit... though I have an... alternative."

"So why do you want to stay as a dragon?"

Cross paused, "There are a couple of reasons. One, I've never been this big. I'm curious to see how I fare and what my upper limit is. But more than that, this... mass... is something I worked for. I told you how losing mass is easy, but gaining it requires time to rest, food, and focus. All of that would be wasted if I just shrank down."

Krillin stroked his chin in thought, "Never thought of that. It would be like after months of training and muscle building if I just let it all go just to use something like Kaio Ken. Sure, I'd be more powerful, but all that work to get where I am would be lost."

Cross nodded.

Krillin smiled, "Well, you're still stronger, right? So we'll just focus on your new strength. As you burn mass fighting, you'll naturally shrink, right? So as long as we make a point of not restoring what you lose, you'll naturally reduce to human size and can then transform. Sound like a plan?"

Cross smiled, "Sounds like a plan."

Krillin laughed, then tagged her nose, "Now follow me, we've got something special to show you."

"We?"

Krillin laughed and flew past her, up toward a nearby moon. "Krillin, what are you doing? That's beyond the habitability zone," she called after him in concern as she flew after him, Krillin managing to stay just out of her reach as they flew closer and closer.

"Krillin, get back here! This is dangerous," she picked up speed, but so did he. The growing pressure and cold of space started to creep in as she fought to catch her new friend, feeling the cold and the airlessness of the void prickling against her scales and stealing the very breath from her lungs. And then, before she even registered it, she was in the pull of the moon, in its atmosphere. Breathing air.

She landed behind Krillin, furious, "What were you thinking!"

He laughed and motioned to the smoke of a fire in the distance, "Something Goku discovered while doing laps around the train."

He pointed to the sky and the visible train, "We're just in range of the limit of the habitability fallout with just a moment in full space. If you're going fast enough, you only feel it for a moment."

Cross took a deep breath, then growled, swiping at Krillin, "That's still needlessly dangerous. We could just bring the train in closer."

Krillin flew off, "But then we couldn't surprise you with this special dinner that Chi-Chi, Gohan, Bulma, Piccolo, and Goku prepared."

"P-Piccolo and Goku cooked?"

Chasing after, Krillin laughed, transforming into a catgirl maid, "Maid form was a big help."

Cross rolled her eyes, "Should have figured."

As they arrived at a large outdoor banquet already ready and full of food, Cross's breath was taken away. The entire team, even Yajirobe, had taken maid form and with a unified bow and greeting welcomed her.

"So glad you could join us, Ms. Cross. We hope you enjoy this special meal we prepared for you!" Krillin flew in to join the others as they all gave one choreographed curtsey.

Cross tried to hold back tears but couldn't as they flowed freely, "You guys."

Shifting to a more bipedal form, she found a large rock to sit on as Krillin whispered to the others, the group smiling and nodding, "Eat up, Cross. Get as big as you want, you've earned it."

The dragon girl broke down into ugly tears as her friends started to hand-feed her.
