Horror! The unchecked rage of a super Saiyan

In a show of fairness, Cross brought only four allies with her as they faced the Ginyu Force. Though the Ginyu Force themselves brought enough armor for everyone, unsure of how large a team they would be facing. The two gladiators from the space tournament, along with Chi-Chi, Krillin, Puar, Chiaotzu, Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Nail, and Yamcha, were all fitted with Frieza Force armor as the Emperor himself watched from afar with Bulma. It was a full cast event, even though only Cross, Goku, Vegeta, Nail, and Piccolo stepped forward to compete.

The Ginyu Force stepped forward and showed off their new roll call and pose, a dramatic and energetic display that belied their dark nature as evil soldiers. Cross's team, in its entirety, did their own unique and dramatic pose and roll call. Even if Vegeta hated playing the fool and being involved in such nonsense, he respected the rules of combat and played his part. While not selected as the main fighting force, the others absolutely enjoyed the theatrics and resolved in that moment to become strong enough to create or become part of a true Sentai team.

The battle began, and the power of the Z fighters, now focused and not distracted, along with their previous tussle with the Ginyu Force, allowed them to soundly put down but not kill Burter, Jeice, and Recoome. Bulma and the remainder of the second crew even helped them back to Frieza's ship to recover in the healing pods. As a sign of respect, Cross's team fell back, leaving just her and Goku to square off with the two remaining Ginyu: Guldo and Captain Ginyu.

Despite the gulf in power between Cross and her suit at half a million and Guldo at only 10,000, his ability to stop time and unleash assaults on her repeatedly proved quite a challenge. Cross, experienced as she was, eventually figured out the gist of what he was doing. Amongst her many abilities acquired across multiple worlds, she had a way of moving through time stop. Her mantling ability allowed her to copy it off Guldo himself. So when he held his breath, she did too. With them both operating in stopped time and her greater power level, she was able to defeat him, stepping back to the Captain and Goku duel.

Though it was clear Goku had an advantage, that advantage quickly evaporated with the exclamation of "Change now!" After the Captain had intentionally injured himself gravely, a confused Goku found himself inside an alien body on the brink of death while Ginyu inhabited Goku's own body.

The secondary crew quickly took Goku away to be healed like all the others. Meanwhile, Ginyu gloated, "It seems our little test has resolved itself, and once again, I am the victor, Captain Ginyu."

The teams gasped in shock at the revelation, and then the Captain proceeded to lay waste to the rest of the team. However, he couldn't get a handle on Goku's body, as powerful as it was. With only a quarter of Goku's strength, he still dominated all the others combined, but it was a hard-fought battle. Only two fighters were stronger than he was: Piccolo and Cross.

No matter, the Captain thought. As soon as an opening presented itself, he would simply take over one of their bodies. The most dangerous threat, the one with the strongest power level, was Cross. Soon their roles were reversed. Only they weren't, for Ginyu had no way of dealing with the absolute flood of instincts and animal emotions that Cross had spent years gaining control of. In the body of the dragon girl, he faced a reduction in power and had no idea how to use her equipment. Supremely distracted by foreign emotions, he turned to the Emperor and gave a nervous laugh. "You know, my liege, I never realized just how beautiful you are until I was in this body. Would you love? Would you like to become my mate? I'm sure we would have beautiful and strong children."

Frieza was absolutely confused, looking at the Captain as if she had lost her mind. "Captain, what the hell are you talking about?"

The Captain blushed nervously. "Sorry, sir, this body is full of very strange emotions, and I am having trouble keeping my mind clear... But my offer still stands. Imagine with our combined strength how powerful our clutch would be."
