''Sigh...'' I exhale as I slide down the wall and sit on the floor underneath.
Just how long is this going to taaaaaaaaaaaaakeeeeee?
I feel like I'm dying from the suspense over here. I mean, come on now. Public enemy number one with quite literally everything on the line?
Oh, I swear to God, when I find out who framed me I will give them a piece of my mind.
A huge piece. As huge as both my fists. Maybe even my legs.
We were still at the Radio Tower, even though a combined number of 3 hours had already passed by.
We're facing many issues with contacting the current CEO of Elysion, Ingrid. Most of them having to do with the high Alva Particle Concentration around the area, but we also have to worry about communication lines being cut off.
Signal's been trying her best to amount an effort into clearing everything. But no matter how much of the Alva Particles she manages to clear, more eventually show up.
Delta and Rapi have both gone out to locate the source of the problem and eliminate it. Current theory is that it's a horde of Raptures near the area.
Marian, with the complexity of a child, combined with the fact that there is basically nothing to do at the moment, has hulled herself into a corner and began playing with the random bugs crawling around.
Anis and Neon have occupied another corner of the room and dedicated it to playing Tic Tac Toe on the walls, using a spare marker to draw.
Now, if only I wasn't disgusted by bugs, or if Tic Tac Toe could've been played with more than two people, maybe I wouldn't be so bored right now.
''I mean, you still have both of us, don't you?''
''I agree. It's been too quiet since Rapi left, so I thought we could chat a bit?''
... Sure.
I sat up from the floor, quickly getting back on my feet and dusting my rear off.
I walked over to Signal, who was still occupied with the task at hand.
''Any progress?'' I inquired, crouching down next to her and looking at the screen.
And... What I saw on it...
Honestly, I'm not an expert at this, but it doesn't look so good.
''I-I've been trying b-but...'' Signal stammered. ''It feels like I'm chasing my own tail here...''
''... I understand.'' I nodded and got back up.
Signal would sigh before turning over to me with a sympathetic look. ''I'm very sorry, Commander. It must be hard.''
''Getting framed, having your life on the line, and having to rely on such a clumsy person to save you...'' She hung her head low after that statement.
I rolled my eyes at this, moving my hand upwards and planting it down on her shoulder.
Once again crouching down to her level, I lift her chin using my other hand, and then proceed to speak.
''Signal, look.'' I gain her attention as she locks gaze with me. ''You're trying your hardest to save me. Even though it may not be much, given the current situation, you're doing everything within your capabilities.''
''B-But I-'' She was about to say, before being cut off.
''No buts, okay?'' I pat her shoulder and begin standing up. ''I do not know you personally, but somebody who is this amazing shouldn't be speaking so lowly of herself.''
