''... Is this...''
''Wait... I'm back here again...''
I looked around me, confused, yet distraught. Here I was back at the dreamscape again, must've lost consciousness after that beating.
The last thing I remember was seeing Laplace's laser beam miss that heretic by the skin of her teeth.
Examining myself, I find out that I am alright. My legs are where they should be, I'm not covered in bruises, and my teeth are-
''Urgh.'' I groan, feeling around my jaw. ''Even thinking of that makes me fucking disgusted.''
Maybe Lilith is around here somewhere, I should look. She went all quiet on me after I got attacked, so I need to scope out our next plan of action.
And so I begin walking around the house, room through room, past door by door, examining the furniture Hare had oh so easily manifested for us.
I check Lilith's bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom; no point in checking the living room since I was already there when I first came.
I even went outside to see if there was anything, but the only thing I was met with was a black, endless void.
... So I simply walked back inside.
''Maybe my room,'' I tell myself, but then quickly shake off the idea.
Every time I come here, Hare requests for me to sleep in her bedroom, and as a result of this, hasn't made me proper quarters.
Most of the time I end up sleeping on the floor because that kid can't share a bed with anybody.
. . .
An idea pops up in my head.
I haven't checked Hare's room yet, no? And from what I know, Lilith frequents there often due to Hare's condition.
Maybe I can find her in there; if not, I can check up on Hare again to make sure nothing's wrong.
I begin going up the staircase to the second floor, taking a turn to the right and going past the second bathroom, nearing the room at the end of the hallway.
Multiple poorly-made ''STAY OUT'' signs litter the entrance. This is nothing new; Hare had put those on so Lilith stays out. Obviously, she doesn't follow that rule and barges in whenever she wants.
''Lilith, you in there?'' I knock on the door and try twisting the handle, only for it not to budge a single inch. ''Huh? It's locked?''
Gotta be from the inside, if she's nowhere in sight.
''Hey, open the door.'' I begin hammering down knocks and calling out anyone from inside. ''This is urgent, we need to do something.''
''Is Hare alright? Did something happen? Let me in and we'll figure it out.'' I continue knocking to no avail.
''...'' I stop and press the side of my head against the frame, listening to any sound that I may hear.
But it's dead as the ocean. No sound, no vibration, no nothing.
