At the end of a hallway, curled up into a ball sat the hero. It was dim, the lights did not reach, nor light up the area in which she currently resided.

''I'm asking you what happened.'' Drake pressed forward and stood a few feet away from her. Her expression was ever so stoic, yet full of thought and disillusionment. ''When that Lord broke through the floor, you didn't do as much as pick up your weapon to help us out.''

''...'' But Laplace never replied.

''I carried you all the way here on my back, and I don't even get a thank you? Or an explanation?'' Drake closed off the distance and crouched behind her. ''You've never acted like this before.''

''...''


''And now you don't even look me in the eyes. Like I just don't exist and you can't hear my voice.'' Drake shut her eyes and released a weighed sigh. ''I knew there was something wrong since the very beginning...''

''...''

''... Look, I'm not gonna harass you. I'm a villain, not a pest.'' She leaned her head forward and went up to Laplace's ear. ''But I will give at least five seconds in case you change your mind.''


''Starting now, I shall count audibly.''
