Is it just me, or...
does maintaining this form take a lot more energy than it should?

Abel opened the car door and stepped into the vehicle's backseat area. Tasked with providing support by taking out any Raptures that may try to sneak up from behind, he completely disregarded the command and instead chose to take some time off.
He sighed as he laid down on the seats, sprawling out his legs and arms and stretching. "Urgh...! Goddamnit, what the hell is going on with me? I haven't had knots this bad since that one dispute with Avalon."
All around his body was a pain that was ravaging his muscles. Standing, or even sitting for that matter, felt like a chore. Even laying down didn't feel as rewarding as it used to be.
Ever since their fight with Harran, Heaven has started to feel an upset in the energy coursing through her very body. Nothing could explain why this was, and it was tiring her out the more she thought of solutions.
'Screw it, who's gonna see me anyway?'
Abel's body was engulfed in a black, goopy substance before it expanded in size. From within the goop, a tattered arm emerged and touched the roof of the interior. As the substance disintegrated, Heaven's form slowly became visible.
"Ah..." She groaned, feeling the balance of energy evening out. "So that's what it was. I didn't have any problem maintaining it before, so why the hell am I suddenly getting nauseous?"
"... I'm not getting old, am I? Hell no, what am I even thinking? I don't age to begin with."
She sighed, standing upright and fitting herself in a seat. She had to bend her head down slightly to manage her size, but it worked out in the end. She ran a hand through her belly, slowly moving it up past her cleavage and placing it on her neck.
Her eyes narrowed. "My skin feels a bit dry..." Heaven muttered. "Maybe... Could it be? I've never tried doing this before, so it is a possibility..."
She dug her nails into the nape of her neck, drawing blood and letting it seep down her collar. Her eyes locked on the mirror in the front, observing the wound she had created.
... It stayed.
"Fuck." She cursed, barely above a whisper. "Are you serious? It's not healing?"
Abel was a successful experiment of the A.D. Project. Not much is known about it, but the summary is that people who undergo procedures akin to this experience a change similar throughout.
Their bloodtype, no matter what it was before, changes entirely. A, B, AB, O, negative or not, doesn't matter. Their new bloodtype contains the main ingredient used to make Vapaus, a nanomachine disintegrating substance.
It's called RH-X.
Heaven is able to transfigure her own body, both in physical appearance and, if possible, biological structure. To make sure she remained hidden and that no one found out who she truly was, she took on Abel's appearance and biology to make her fit in.
But her core, it remained in the guise of a heart. However, it did not matter, the RH-X bloodtype was affecting her ability to regenerate her cells, hence the reason the wound on her neck remained.
