A railway.
It was night. Quiet and beautiful.
The fake sky in the distance was filled to the brim with stars and clouds. Like a painting.
A train suddenly passes the said railway.
''Ohhh...'' You whined from your seat inside the train.
Your gym session with Rumani had just ended, and you had to rush to catch the train if you wanted to go back on time.
Your calves were killing you. Moving your shoulders hurt as much as getting a syringe stabbed into them.
Rumani had done a number on you.
But, strangely, you felt satisfied.
You've just done a nice workout session. Even though it felt like your muscle tissue tore apart, you finally had something to look up to when you got back.
Sleep.
Sweet sweet sleep.
You were drooling at the thought.
''Commander?'' A familiar voice called out from your side.
''Huh-... Diesel?'' You snapped back into reality as you looked over to her.
''What are you doing here?'' Diesel sat down next to you. ''It's so late, what have you been doing?''
''... Gym...'' You simply said.
Diesel placed a hand on her mouth as she let out a slight giggle. ''Explains why you smell so bad.''
''I'll take a shower once I get back.'' You said as you scratched your head. ''My whole body hurts.''
''Is that so?'' Diesel pondered for a moment.
''My instructor went too harsh on me.'' You sighed. ''Who knew Bulgarian Splits would be so painful.''
''What are Bulgarian Splits?'' Diesel asked.
''You don't wanna know.'' You waved off her question.
After that, you spaced out for a solid minute.
You were staring out of the window, into the starry sky. It was beautiful. It made you sleepy.
The sounds of the train going over the railway also added to the ambiance. It felt natural enough for your body to feel calm.
Soon enough, you found yourself beginning to close your eyes. Slowly but surely.
You yawned.
Diesel placed her hand on your head and gently ruffled your hair. ''There was this one time my brother got really sleepy while on the train.''
Her smile never faltered. Not once. ''So, I let him sleep. On my lap.''
She carefully planted your head down on her lap, making you lie down in the process. ''Like this.''
''So comfy...'' You muttered as you readjusted your head on her lap.
Diesel giggled. ''That's the same exact thing he said.''
''... Your brother must be cool.'' You said, closing your eyes, but not falling asleep.
You didn't hear her say anything, but she did run her hands through your hair.
Her gentle nature was something that made her stand out.
The way she acted with Soline the first time you met her was adorable. She was like the cool aunt who always gave out candy.
