"You sharing?" Neil, the nice engineer, asks while rolling over to me in his chair. I got myself a chocolate covered waffle from the waffle cart. Charles said I could and gave me his credit card to pay for it.
"Not with you." I laugh, holding it closer to my chest and furrowing my eyebrows at him.
"Come on." He sighs, throwing his head back and closing his eyes. "I haven't had a waffle in ages." He adds.
"Fine. Just a little bit." I sigh, passing him the knife and fork and placing it on the table in front of us. He cuts a bit off and eats it.
"Thanks." He smiles, pushing his chair back over to his desk and getting on with his work.
"Fucking interviewers, I swear." Charles sighs as he pushes through all the crowds and walks into the garage.
"When is qualifying on?" I ask Charles, looking at him as he comes over to me, eyeing up my waffle.
"In an hour." He says, holding his hand out in front of him. I furrow my eyebrows and shake my head. "Just a tiny bit." He says, looking at me with pleading eyes. I sigh and give him a little bit. He smiles as he puts it in his mouth.
"I think I saw some girls from your school outside in the pit lane." He adds, pointing in the direction of the garage door. I look at him in slight worry.
"Who?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows before standing up off my chair and walking towards the pit lane.
"Em." Charles says, grabbing my shoulder to stop me.
"It's Ella." I state as I see her walk past the garage, looking in, most likely to try and find me. I pull my shoulder out of Charles' grip and walk towards them.
"What the fuck do you want?" I ask loudly, walking up to her but being stopped by the barrier in front of the garage entrance. It's there to stop fans getting into the garage without permission.
"Hey?" Max says as he walks past, confused as to why I'm shouting.
"Fucking bitch!" I shout at Ella, completely ignoring Max's presence.
"I think it's time to walk away." Charles says, gently grabbing my upper arm and pulling me closer to him.
"Come on, let it go." Max states, agreeing with Charles and walking around the barrier to get into the Ferrari garage. He stands in front of me, putting his arm out to try and guide me away, helping Charles.
I pull my arm out of Charles' hold and walk towards Ella despite Max's protests. I deliver a punch to her face, causing her to stumble backwards and hold her nose in agony.
"Emilie!" Max says loudly, grabbing both of my upper arms and holding me against his chest. "Stop it." He states firmly, wrapping his arms around me and keeping me held close to him.
"Get off!" I shout, earning lots of judgemental looks from the mechanics and engineers from various teams, who are stood around in the pit lane.
"Emilie." Max says even sterner, clearly getting more frustrated at me as I continue trying to escape his grip. He pulls me away, turning around and pushing me towards Charles.
"You went too far!" Charles shouts as all eyes are now on us. Ella and the other girl have now walked away.
"She's a bitch, and I hate her!" I shout, holding my hand in the direction of the pit lane and furrowing my eyebrows at him. Why is he shouting at me? "I didn't do anything!" I add.
"Have you lost your mind?" He shouts louder, an angered look on his face. I've never seen him this angry. It's scary.
"She deserved it." I state, glaring at Charles and Max.
