Kabir was getting ready for his office....since the miscarriage happened he is going to the office for a very less time...he stays mostly at home... though it was of no use because Erica rarely let him be around her...but still he was there all the time.
Kabir was looking in the mirror wearing his watch. When Erica called him from behind she was seated on the bed propped up against the headboard .
"Kabir!!!!!" She called slowly.
He looks behind and their eyes meet.
"Because of my carelessness....we lost our baby....but you didn't say a word...you get angry on everything but you don't have any reaction for our baby....was it...was it not important to you Kabir???" Her voice falters as tears brim in her eyes....
Kabir came near the bed and stood beside her....Erica looked up to his eyes....
"You are important to me" He said wiping her tears with his thumb "it was an accident Erica....it wasn't your fault."he softly tucked her hair ....he bend a little and kissed her forehead softly , Erica's eyes got close in the response....she didn't show it but it gave her warmth......"I will come back early okay!!!!"...he said Erica didn't respond anything.

Kabir dialed Erica's number repeatedly from his office, but she didn't answer. His mind was far from his work, consumed by memories of Erica's joy at her pregnancy and the devastation she experienced after losing it.
Hastily completing his work, Kabir rushed home after office. As he entered the house
"Erica ate anything ??"he asked the servant....
They shook their heads...."sir !!!!!mam... didn't eat anything and also she has locked herself in the room ...not letting any of us in" they informed.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?!" he exclaimed in a voice filled with anger as he stormed off towards his room. The thought of something having gone wrong lingered in his mind, causing panic to well up inside him.
"Erica!!!!
" Erica ,open the door!!!!"he banged the door with all the strength....
he was going to break it...when the door opened revealing Erica as if nothing happened ...Kabir took a sigh of relief...while Erica turned to the room.
Kabir took a shower changed his clothes and came to Erica....
"Let's go have dinner he said holding her wrist!!!!"
"I had it!!!!" She said not meeting his eyes....
"You are coming or I have to drag you here???"
"I am not going anywhere from this room!"
"Okay!!! " He picked her up in his arms and took her to the dining area....
He asked everyone to leave both of them alone...
He served her food ...Erica pushed it back turning her face....
"I want you to stop all this.... if one day i won't eat , I won't die okay...and also there is no baby inside me who is hungry...so if I didn't eat....it won't affect me as much as you are pretending" she said
"Kya chahti ho tum???" he asked, running his hands over his face in frustration at her resistance , still keeping the composure.
Erica didn't say anything at first but then she picked up the bowl of green chilies from the salad plate and pushed it toward him. "Eat all of this, and I'll eat the food."
Kabir saw the bowl in surprise...it was too much...he was contemplating what to say....
When Erica got up and turned to leave...she reached half way on the stairs....
"Tak..e ..this.....I have eaten everything....now you will do as promised okay...he said forwarding the empty bowl to her.... His voice was hoarsh as his lips , nose , eyes all were red....his eyes were watering...he wasn't able to speak because it was so ..so ...so spicy for him...he was shaking his head in order to get some relief anyhow....
Erica panicked watching his state and the empty bowl "Ohhh...My god...why did you eat all this Kabir.... Are you mad ???? I just gave you so that you stop nagging....you can't even eat a single chilly.... why you ate all this...she said tapping over his head ...as he started coughing....
"Nothing happened..."he said taking a long breath....."I am fine... it's not like I can't eat ...I just avoid it...come eat now...you are not getting away from it..."he said somehow because of the fiery sensation on his tongue.
Erica hurriedly went into the kitchen she mixed curd and sugar and gave it to him ..Kabir's whole face was red...he was miserable...he took the mixture hurriedly and started gulping...Erica also sat in front of him....and she ate her food... looking at him...who was trying his best to calm down the burning sensation of chilles....

Kabir was sleeping beside Erica...his lips were red even now because of the chillies...Erica came close to him and touched his lips with her fingers... slowly caressing it.
"I didn't want to harm you....why are you so stubborn.... please leave me at my state Kabir...I will handle myself....I don't want to burden my pain on you" she murmured near him slowly....and moved back to her place wiping her tears.
After a while when Erica slept...Kabir opened is eyes....he stared at her sleeping frame...her hand was still on her stomach.....kabir brushed his knuckle on her cheeks softly
"You are the only thing I have Erica!!! I won't let you Break at any cost!!! "
He slowly removed her hand from her stomach and held it in his ....he slept just like that!!!!
