Kabir was standing in the hospital ward, his back against the cool wall, arms folded across his chest. His gaze was fixed on the floor, the silence hanging heavy in the air.

After a while, Erica stirred and slowly opened her eyes. She noticed Kabir's disheveled appearance - sleeves rolled up, shirt untucked, and his hair slightly tousled.

"Kabir!" Her voice was a mere whisper, and as he lifted his head, she saw his expression was unreadable, devoid of any emotion.

"Kabir... how is... how is my baby?" Her voice trembled with nervousness, fearing the answer she didn't want to hear.

"Everything is... is everything okay?" she struggled to confirm, her eyes welling up with tears.

As he approached her, his lips tightened into a thin line. Slowly, he moved in close to her... he delicately took hold of her head and pulled her toward him. Her arms got wrapped around his waist as he held her close. Kabir delicately caressed her cheek with his palm.

"Kabir, why are you not saying anything? Tell me, my baby is fine, Kabir, please, say it, Kabir!!!" She looked up into his eyes.

Erica, let's go home," he said slowly as he wiped her tears with his thumb.

"Why aren't you telling me what I'm asking, Kabir? My baby is there, right... in my stomach?" She placed her trembling hand on her stomach, tears streaming down her face.

Kabir looked in her eyes which were expecting an answer from him.....he gently removed her hand from her stomach and held it tightly. His eyes welled up, but no tears fell.

"You need to rest, Erica. Let's go," he said holding her back tightly.

The way he removed her hand made Erica understand what he meant.

Tears streamed down Erica's cheeks, her voice choked with despair as she pleaded, "No... no... no, Kabir... this can't be true. Please, give me my baby back. I can't bear to live without him. He's my whole world, Kabir... I can't let him go." Her trembling lips quivered as she looked into his eyes, her sobs echoing through the room.

"Kabir!" she cried out, her heart breaking at the thought of her unborn child. "My baby had fingers now, Kabir. I heard his tiny heartbeats... he was my reason to keep going. I can't bear this, Kabir. Please, give him back to me. Why did you let them take him away?" Erica's cries filled the ward, her shattered sobs reverberating off the walls.

Kabir stood still, wrapping her in a warm embrace, offering comfort without saying anything. He knew the immense significance of this pregnancy to her. He let her cry!!!

Two days had passed since the heartbreaking loss. Kabir, along with Erica's family and Sarita tai, did their best to provide comfort to Erica. Although her tears had stopped, she chose to confine herself to her bed, refusing to leave her room.

---------------------------------------------------------

Erica sat beside the window, her mind consumed by a whirlwind of thoughts. As she lost herself in the depths of her contemplation, Kabir quietly approached, uncertain of how to initiate a conversation. Standing behind her, he pondered where to begin.

"Kabir, I want to return to my home," Erica suddenly spoke, shattering the heavy silence that enveloped the room.

Kabir gazed into her pained eyes, a flicker of hope igniting within him at the sound of her voice after two days of silence.

"I returned here for my baby, and now that it's no longer here... I see no purpose in staying. I want to leave," she expressed, her words heavy with emotion.

Kabir took a seat in front of her, his presence a reassuring anchor in the midst of her turmoil.

"You're not well, Erica. Once you're feeling better, I'll personally take you home. But for now, please don't burden yourself," he reassured her with unwavering support.

Erica nodded silently, her eyes brimming with unshed tears as she turned her gaze away.

At night-
---------------

Kabir, Sarita tai, and a few other servants entered the room, carrying medicine, food, and various items.

"I don't need this, please go," Erica said, turning her face away.

"You need to take these medicines, Erica. You've been avoiding them all afternoon," he said, offering her a glass of water.

"I said I don't want it. Why are you doing this drama? I said leave me alone."

"Erica, please take this. It's important," he insisted, extending the glass in front of her.

Frustrated, Erica grabbed the glass and splashed the water on his face, then smashed the glass on the ground.

"I said leave!" she shouted.

The servants, including tai, were shocked. They had never seen anyone raise their voice at him before, and here she was, throwing water in his face.

"All of you can go, and Tai, please bring me another glass of water," Kabir said, wiping his face with his hands as he looked at her.

Taking another glass Kabir came near her again "Erica, take this"

"Whom are you doing this drama for....there is no one to see.... don't show this fake sweetness of yours...I know you very well....just go from here." She said with bitterness and turned her face .

Kabir took a pause bearing her heartful words and said "If you want me to go from here then take this ...I will disappear from here....and if you won't...then you also know I will be standing here till the end of time....think about it"

"You don't know anything other than making a deal out of everything !!!!!" Erica said shaking her head in frustration.

She knew he won't go...she took the glass and gluped everything in one go..."now please leave" she said joining her hands ...

"Erica please don't...." He tried to hold her hand...

"Don't come near me i said....I don't need you Kabir Randhawa....go show you act to anyone else ...I am not interested.....I can manage myself!!!

Kabir took a step back and leave from there.
