Chapter 53

"Um…I haven't washed my hands." Seeing Yeonjun's gloomy face, Soobin felt guilty as he understood why Yeonjun was down.

"Huh?" Yeonjun surprisingly looked at him.

"I…mean, don't…touch my hands…they…they're dirty because I haven't washed them after using the toilet." Soobin replied very shyly.

"Ah! And I thought…hahaha! You silly! That doesn't matter to me." Yeonjun chuckled and felt relieved as he understood Soobin wasn't mad at him. Soobin's eyes couldn't met Yeonjun's as he was too embarrassed.

"But, it does to me. And I forgot earlier because I was focused on you." Soobin said in a low voice. Yeonjun smirked while trying his best to suppress it. He was also feeling shy, but acted cool.

"Wait a minute!" Yeonjun stood up and rushed outside.

"Wh…" before Soobin he could say a word, Yeonjun went away.

Yeonjun returned with a bowl and a small, white towel. He noticed Soobin slightly lifting the blanket to check his leg. As soon as Soobin saw Yeonjun, he quickly covered his leg again.

While approaching him, Yeonjun saw the confusion on Soobin's face. He placed the towel on the table and took the bowl to the washroom. After a moment, he came back with the bowl filled with water. Soobin remained puzzled and curious but didn't ask any questions, thinking he'd get an explanation soon. Yeonjun placed the bowl on the table, soaked the towel in the water, and then wrung it out, glancing at Soobin.

"Give your hand to me." Yeonjun extended his hand towards Soobin with a bright smile.

"Hm?" Soobin raised his hand and moved it towards Yeonjun with his questioning eyes. Yeonjun smirked and took his hand and started wiping it with the towel.

"Ah! Y-you don't…." Soobin was surprised and touched as he never got the treatment from anyone before.

"Don't worry, I put some liquid soap in it. So, your hands are gonna be sparkling in a moment." Yeonjun was focused on his job to clean Soobin's hand nicely. Soobin felt his heart was racing faster and tears started to fill his eyes. He quickly looked at another way and wiped his eyes with his other hand.

"Your fingers are really long." Yeonjun said while rubbing his hand gently with the towel.

"Are they?" Soobin felt shy again. Nobody ever complimented him like this so it was a very new feeling to him. He tried to grin, but failed as he was touched.

"They're really beautiful. They seem a little swollen for now. But, trust me. I've seen them before as well. You've got really gorgeous hands." Yeonjun looked at Soobin and discovered tears in his eyes.

"Huh? What happened? Does it hurt anywhere?" Yeonjun was surprised to see his tears.

"N-no! Something must've gone in my eyes." Soobin started to rub his eyes with the other hand.

"Let me see." Yeonjun grabbed Soobin's hand and gently pulled it down to see his eyes. Initially, he had no ulterior motives; he just wanted to make sure if Soobin's eyes were okay.

After Moving closer, he examined Soobin's eyes, placing his thumb under them and slowly brushed it against his skin. As they stared at each other, their heartbeats seemed hearable from outside. Yeonjun inched closer, his gaze shifted from Soobin's eyes to his nose and then to his lips. He leaned in, nearly kissing Soobin when Soobin pushed him away and turned his head.

"Ah! I-I..." Yeonjun gulped and stepped back, feeling displeased and guilty for being too forward. Meanwhile, Soobin looked downward, his eyes were restless as if he was thinking about something unpleasant.
