Maya POV:
So yesterday everyone in my senior life skills class got the surprise of their lives when we found out we had to get "married" and have "children". I'm not sure how I feel about this whole thing, but Riley seems excited and she is the reason I am taking this class anyways. "Hey Riles!" I say approaching her in the hall. "Hi! Are you excited for our "field trip" today?" Riley said with a smile. "Sure," I say as she pulls me along to Mrs. Hanes's room.

"Good morning!" She greeted. We all sat down. "Does everyone still have their rings?" Everyone nods. Surprisingly I haven't lost mine yet. "Okay, so, before we go to you guys' new houses let me tell you about them. They are apartments, but they are rather large. Two couples will be on a floor. That way if you need something you have someone right across from you. Shall we go now?" Everyone was stoked. Except me. Actually, I don't know what I am.

***Time Skip***

Riley POV:
We are walking up the floors of the apartments. Slowly, couples are leaving checking out their house. Then we get to floor 4. "Riley Matthews and Lucas Friar. You two are in apartment 3D. On this floor also is Maya Hart and Farkle Minkus. You guys are in apartment 6D. Me and Maya smile. We are literally across the hall from each other. All four of us go into Lucas and my apartment once Mrs. Hanes gives us our keys to our own places.

The place is beautiful. When you walk in there is a family room with a couch and a love seat and a recliner. When you walk through that there is a kitchen with marble counter tops and a matching island. The table is through a doorway from the kitchen and it seats 8. Then in the hallway next to that room there is 3 bedrooms. The first is the master (picture of bed above). It has dark teal painted walls with a huge bathroom and a walk in closet almost as big as the bathroom. The next room is a pastel coral painted room with a twin sized bed and a nice sized closet and a bunch of toys. The last room has lime green walls and another twin sized bed, but this one has rails, I guess for littler kids who would roll off.

Next we go to Maya's apartment. By now people are not on our floor, they are above, we can hear them and it sounds like a herd of elephants. We walk into their apartment and it is almost the same but there is a small bit of a change. We walk into the family room, to our left is a hallway with all the bedrooms and we go down it. The first bedroom has pastel purple walls with a loft bed and a toy area underneath it. The next room has sunset orange walls and there is a twin sized bed, and like ours, has a rail to keep kids from falling. The master is at the end of the hall. It has navy colored walls which Maya seems to like the most about it the room. The closet is walk in, but smaller than Lucas and mine's. Their bathroom makes up for it though. It could be a whole other bedroom! After we finished down the hall we went back to the family room. The table is behind the family room and it seats 10 with the kitchen behind that.

"I can't believe they fully furnished these places for us!" Lucas said looking around. Maya walked to the fridge, opened it and looked in. "Almost, but not quite, Huckleberry." We just laughed. Afterwards Lucas and I returned to our apartment and found that someone had slid an envelope under our door.

The letter inside said "Here is $200. It will get you started. But tomorrow everyone is going to be assigned a job." "I'll go grocery shopping." I volunteer. "How 'bout we both go?" Lucas suggests. "Okay!" I grab my purse and put the money inside and we head out.
