A New Beginning

Woah

Maya POV:
I stare blankly at her. This is not going to be good. "I have spoken to your boss. They are not mad at you. On Monday I'm assigning the ones who lost a job a new job. Have a good night Maya! I see you have a handful." Mrs. Hanes smiles at me and I close the door as she walks off. I slowly make it back to the table to finish eating. Woah, what just happened?

After dinner Riley comes in without knocking with Moral Compass behind her. Their kids come running to them and my friends embrace them. Sooner or later they leave.

Riley POV:
Once Lucas and our kids returned to our apartment the kids crashed and Lucas and I decided to watch a movie. After a ton of begging I finally agreed to watching "I Am Legend".

Lucas and I cuddled the whole time. I was scared to death half the time and was burying my head into his chest. He would wrap his strong, loving arms around my body and I felt safe. Very safe.

After the movie Lucas walks to our room and I check on the kids. Afterwards I go to my room and I change into black leggings and a Disney World t shirt along with some mint green fuzzy socks. I crawl into bed where Lucas is already almost asleep. "Goodnight Prince Charming." I say dozing off. "Goodnight Princess." Lucas says as he lightly kisses my lips. His are so soft on mine.

I wake up at 10:35 am and I decide to make breakfast for everyone. It's Saturday so we can all sleep in. I make ham and cheese omelets and sausage patties and set them in the microwave to keep them warm. While I'm walking back to my room I pass by Josh. "Morning Mommy!" He greets. "Good morning Baby. Did you sleep good?" I ask. "Yep!" Josh says popping the "p". I quietly open the closet door in my bedroom and get my outfit for the day. I decide to wear a fitted white and turquoise tribal print crop top with pastel pink high waisted shorts and I straiten my hair. I work later today so I'll just change later. I put on my grey vans and I write a note for Lucas explaining where I am and what I'm doing. I'm going to the store and getting the kids some ice cream and brownie mix so we can have brownie sundaes later this weekend.

Lucas POV:
I wake up at 11:21 am and I walk to the kitchen. I see Riley's note and I spot food in the microwave. I open it and there are omelets and sausage patties on a black plate. I put some on Josh's plate and some for me. I prepare a plate for Christine whenever she gets up. She sleeps super late when she can.

A lazy Christine suddenly appears at my side and so I help her with her food. We sit down at our table and hungrily eat our food. "Mommy is a good cook!" Josh says between mouthfuls. "Yummy! Yummy!" Christine says while clapping her hands.

After breakfast we sat on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Club House. During a commercial break Riley opens the door and comes in with 3 grocery bags. "Mommyyyy!" Christine squeals and runs to grab her leg and hangs on like a monkey like she hasn't seen Riley in a week. Riley just laughs.

"I have a surprise for you two kids for after dinner." Riley announces. "Yyaaayyyy!" Christine and Josh simultaneously shout. I walk over to Riley and give her a light kiss on her forehead. She lets out a small giggle. 

Later Riley leaves for work and I walk the kids to Farkle and Maya's and then leave for my work.

Farkle POV:
Once Maya and I have all 4 kids, Maya and I decide on making meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We make it together while the kids play in the living room. After the meatloaf is in the oven we go to join the kids.

Sooner or later we start to smell burning. "Did you start the timer Farkle?" Maya asks. "Nope, you?" I ask "no..." She answers. We look at each other and realized at the same time. We both get up and run to the oven. Maya opens up the oven and smoke fills the air. We both are choking and coughing. We swat at the air and I grab the oven mitt to pull out the pan. "Burnt to crisp..." I let Maya know. "Mashed potatoes and frozen pizza?" Maya says still swatting. "Why not?!" I say laughing at the picture in my mind of our future meal.
