A New Beginning

Where is She?

Riley POV:
Lucas and I decided to eat lunch at a restaurant down the street. We took our kids with us.

After we eat Lucas goes to pay and the kids stay with him. I decide to go ahead out so that I can start the car for him.

As I'm walking out by some bushes I hear "psst" I turn but no one is there. All of a sudden a hand goes over my mouth and I get dragged into the bushes. I try to scream and punch my way out but it was useless. "Be quiet!" The person yelled at me. My heart sinks. My kids. My husband. My family. My friends. They are all going to be worried. I start crying. I start to hear Lucas' voice talking to my babies. It makes me cry even harder. After a few seconds I hear "Riley!!" I have to get out of here. I don't even know who did this. "Mommy?" I hear Josh's sweet voice call. "Riley, come back!" Lucas demands. I am heartbroken. I try kicking now, but then everything goes black.

Lucas POV:
I walk out of the restaurant with my kids and we walk to the car. No Riley. But the car keys are on the side walk. What is happening?! "Riley!!" I yell. "Mommy?" Josh calls.  I am very worried now. "Riley, come back!" I command. I am heartbroken. Why would she do this?! I just don't get it. I let the kids in the car and then I sit on the hood thinking and thinking.

Wait a second. Riley would never leave us. She had to be forced to. Or even... No, just no she couldn't. Well maybe she could, no. I keep arguing with myself but then I come to an agreement. "Kidnapped." I say under my breath. I get off the hood and sit in the drivers seat. "Daddy where is Mommy?" Christine asks. "Baby I don't know," I say tearing up. "When is she coming back?" Josh asks. "Buddy I honestly don't know." I answer. I drive back to school. I know I shouldn't but that's where Maya and Farkle are to watch the kids.

At school I walk in. Luckily Maya is right by the door. "What happened to the fourth member of your crew?" She asks. "She... she was kidnapped." I reply. "Then what the heck are you doing at school you idiot?! Go and find her already!!" She screams at me. "That's why I have to drop off my kids. Tell the teachers Riley and I are both sick." I turn around to leave. "Good luck Hopalong."

I burst through those doors of school. I run to my car and drive off with no delay. I drive all around town. I don't even have a clue who could do it. She doesn't have any real enemies. I mean she is so amazing and kind. I hit myself in my face. How am I so stupid to let her walk off alone and this happen?! I am so mad at myself right now. I bang my head on the steering wheel. "stupid stupid stupid" I keep repeating to myself. At about 7 pm I give up for the day. I regretfully return home to what now seems like an empty apartment. I go to Farkle and Maya's to pick up my kids. At least I have them.

I knock on the door. "It's unlocked." Farkle's voice says. I walk in and my kids come running up, along with my niece and nephew. "Did you find her?" Skylar asks. "No I'm so sorry. I will find her though." I say determined. Which I will. There is no way I'm going to lose my girl. No way.

Eventually we walk back to our apartment. It feels lonely. It's like a room without furniture. The kids run off and play in Christine's room. I sit in the family room on the couch in silence. I think and think of who would be a suspect of Riley's kidnapping. After about an hour I put the kids to bed. I crawl into my bed. Knowing that Riley is somewhere very unsafe right now and could die. This made it absolutely impossible to sleep.

I just decided to think for a while. Then I remember; "Oh crap! Riley was sub post to have work tonight!" I say to myself. Then I think some more. Then it dawns on me. I am pretty sure I know who kidnapped Riley and they are going to pay!
