A New Beginning

Maya POV:
Once we are finally released out of jail, or school you may call it; we decide to go out to eat. We went to Out Back.

After Out Back we went back to our apartments because Riley and I both have to work. I am already dressed fancy so I wait on Riley to change into a pastel coral dress that goes to her knees with lace on it and her black heels and we go in her car. I wonder what the boys will do with the kids.

Farkle POV:
Once Maya leaves, I call Lucas.
"Hey!" I say.

"Whatcha wanna do? The girls get off at 10." Lucas asks me.

"I don't know, movies?"

"Nah, laser tag?"

"Owen can't do that."

"Right. Then what?"

"I don't know, what about buy stuff for them as a surprise?"

"We really spoil them," I can almost see Lucas' smirk from here.

"Yeah so?"

"Alright I'll be there in 5."

"I'll drive us since my car is the only one to fit all of us."

"Alright bye Farkle."

Lucas hangs up and I get the kids ready. "Kids we are going shopping for Mommy." I call. They come running in. "Yay!" The yell simultaneously.

5 minutes later Lucas knocks on our door. "Howdy." He greets. "Ready to get yelled at when we come home and we have spent a ton of money and then be praised right after because it is for them?" I ask joking. "Ready as I'll ever be." Lucas says playing along.

Lucas POV:
When we get to the mall the first place we go is Bath and Body Works. Maya doesn't like this place so Farkle doesn't buy anything but Riley loves it and her favorite scent is Sweet Pea so I buy her a bottle of lotion and a bottle of shower gel. Next place we go is Aeropostale. Farkle buys Maya like 6 shirts and a skirt and 2 pairs of shorts from here. I buy Riley 4 shirts, a skirt, 2 pairs of jeans, and 3 pairs of shorts from here. I am being careful of my budget that I gave myself but I think to Farkle this is a free for all.

We then go to JC Penny and I buy Riley some of her favorite make up. Farkle buys Maya some mascara. "I don't get why girls want to cover up their face with make up but ok." Farkle says as we check out. Next we go to Forever 21. I am almost out of my budget. "Last store Farkle." I announce. They kids are not complaining but I'm sure they are done shopping and were done the minute we walked in the mall. I but Riley another shirt and a pair of leggings and a pair of shoes. Farkle buys Maya the same pair of leggings and that's all. We check out and head to the car. "Maya is gonna kill me." Farkle starts. "That's completely possible knowing her..." I tell him. "What if these aren't her sizes and we messed up?" Farkle starts to get paranoid. "Chill, didn't you look in her closet and check the sizes? I did." "Yeah but why if she grew?" I roll my eyes. "In the last 4 hours? Not likely." I finally convince him.

We both go back to my apartment with our kids because that's where Maya comes first anyways. We label every bag with the name of the girl receiving it. It looks like Christmas in here. Finally we hear laughter in the hallway and I'm starting to get second thoughts. What if she doesn't like these things? I keep shaking my thoughts away.

Riley comes in first and looks around. She moves so Maya can enter. "Woah Christmas came early." Maya says walking over to a bag with her name on it. "You shouldn't have!" Riley says with a smile on her face opening up the box with the pair of shoes. She runs over and kisses me. I kiss back. We break apart and she looks at more stuff.

Eventually the girls have seen everything and they decide to give us a fashion show with their new stuff. I turn on the song "Cheerleader" and they come out in their first outfits. They strut and then go back to Riley and my room. Our kids are watching as well. After another outfit is shown the song is over because it takes them forever to change. I put on "Thinking Out Loud" and they strut down again.

After a little while they are done and we all sit laughing at what just happened. In a little while Farkle, Maya, Skylar, and Owen go back to their home. I tuck in Christine with Riley and then we tuck in Josh. Riley and I return to our room and we sit on our bed. "Thank you again Lucas, you didn't have to buy me clothes." Riley thanks me for the literal 6th time. "You don't need to thank me princess." I say wrapping my arms around her. "I love you Lucas." She says tiredly. "I love you too Riles." I say. We fall asleep shortly after.

Riley POV:
In the morning I put on one of my new outfits. I put on a sky blue muscle shirt with lace on the sleeves and black shorts and my new navy sandals. I put on my new make up and I loosely curl my hair. I go and wake up the kids and then I cook breakfast. Once I'm done I call everyone and they come rushing in. We talk about our days yesterday and about a family trip we should take. I am feeling like this is going to be a good day.
