Riley POV:
It's been 5 days since Auggie's passing, and today is his funeral. It's a Friday, so we're missing school for it. It's time to start getting ready, so I start with Christine. I put her in a black skirt and a white half sleeved shirt. I put her hair in two braids, and give her her flats to put on. Lucas is sub post to get Josh ready, so I go back to my room. I take a shower, trying to be quick; but I just stood in the shower with water running down my back. It's beginning to become more and more real...

I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair. I then put on a black skater dress with lace on it with long sleeves. I put on a brown belt around my waist. I sigh as I walk to the bathroom to straighten my hair. After I straighten my hair, I waterfall braid part of it back. I apply all waterproof make up, and put on white heels with a black flower design on them.

I bite my lip as I walk out. Apparently, at some point while I was getting ready, (probably while I was thinking about my life in the shower) Lucas got ready. "You look amazing Princess." Lucas says hugging me. "Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself." I say with a smile. Lucas has on a black suit, and Josh has on a black dress shirt and khakis.

When we arrive at the funeral, I start to get nervous. I have to do a speech in front of everyone, and so does my uncle Josh, my mom, Dad, and Maya. We sit beside Maya's family in the front row. "You look gorgeous Maya." I whisper to her. "Thanks Darling." She replies and I give her a faint smile. Maya is wearing a long black dress that is loose, it's sleeveless, with thick straps. She has on tan ankle boots, and her hair is in a ballerina bun.

After the funeral starts my dad is the first one to speak. Then my mom, then Josh. It's my turn now, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to pass out. I get up and make my way to the stage, taking my time. I stare into the crowd and I now feel dizzy. I inhale and exhale a few times before I speak.

"Hello, most of you know who I am. I'm Riley Matthews, I was Auggie's older sister, and only sibling. Well blood sibling that is. My best friend for life, Maya, was like Auggie's other sister. And my boyfriend, who also is my partner for a project where I have to be fake married to him, was like Auggie's brother. My friend Farkle, was one of Auggie's best friends too. I think all four of us made a great impact on Auggie's life, and hopefully for only good. Auggie was the best brother anyone could ask for. He covered for me when I snuck out to NYU, he decorated his room just for me, he always asked me about my day, and most importantly, he never judged me. I could be myself around him when I couldn't be myself to anyone else. As soon as my parents came home with him from the hospital, I knew we would be close. He would keep all my secrets close, and never tell anyone. Today is a really hard day for me and I hope everyone in this room has at least had a conversation with Auggie, because if you have you will know that he always listens, and I know that he is listening to me right now. So, Auggie, I love you and I will always love you. You have made my life 10 times better." By the end on my speech I am crying hard. I wipe my tears and walk back to my seat. I can tell Lucas has been crying. He wraps one arm around my waist and says, "That was beautiful Riley." I look at Maya, who has a stream of tears running down her face.

It's Maya's turn to go up to the front. After her semi-short speech, I am crying even harder.

When the funeral is over, people are just standing around talking. "Wow, you defeated the supposedly water proof make up." Maya says walking up behind me. I let out a small giggle. "Do I look that bad?" I ask. "Nah," is all she replies.

*Time Skip*

We walk into our apartment and I sigh of relief. Finally this day is almost over. I walk back to my bedroom and change into grey sweatpants and one of Lucas' football tshirts from last year. I put my hair in a bun and wipe off all my make up.

I walk into the living room to see Lucas playing with Christine with some Barbies. "Hey Kelly! Wanna go shopping?" Lucas says in a high pitched voice while holding up a doll. I give out a small laugh. I'm in the mood for some cookies, so I walk over to the kitchen. "Anyone want to help make chocolate chip cookies?" There's no response, but then 3 cows charge in at once towards me.

"Lucas please get the milk. Christine get the sugar please. And Josh can you get the chocolate chip and flour please." I say politely getting bowls out. "Hey Mom, are these the right choc-" Josh says but is cut off by the sound of chocolate chips hitting the ground. I turn around to see about 500 morsels on the floor. "Those would be it." I say with a smile. I bend down to help Josh pick them up and then poof! Something hits me like a blast of air. I look around me and flour is surrounding me. I look up to Lucas' face and he is a deer in headlights. "Yikes!" He says in a high pitched voice. "Oh you're gonna get it!" I reply fiercely and through a bunch of flour at him from the floor.

Long story short... no cookies were made, only a bunch of flour in everyone's hair.

After we all shower, I am sitting in bed watching tv beside Lucas while he plays with my hair. "Hey Riles," Lucas says softly. "Yes handsome," I reply. "I think it's about time we visit my hometown again."

A/N: Sorry I did not switch POV in this chapter, I just didn't see fit.
