"Morning, aein."
Leah blinked and looked up at him groggily, hiding her face in the crook between the pillow and his arm with a groan.
Jungkook could only chuckle and pull her closer, letting her shoulder hit his chest as she all but rolled on her stomach. He was endlessly amused by her half-asleep shenanigans. She had been up not so long ago, when the sun wasn't up yet, waking him up with kisses up his chest, near his new tatau. She loved her symbol over his heart and when she faced him with deep, meaningful eyes, he had instantly rubbed his sleep away. If his wife was hungry for him, then nothing would make him happier than satiating her and assuring her that she was the one on his skin and inside his heart.
Only she had fallen asleep again straight after, and he couldn't seem to wake her up again. The sun was rising in the sky, the birds chirping in the canopy above them, the waterfall streaming a lullaby not so far back while they stayed laying down, lazing around.
Not that he wanted to complain; despite the mess of clothes and pillows, the empty bottle of wine and scattered glasses, and her refusal to wake up, he couldn't have dreamed of anything different. He loved everything, from the moment he set eyes on her walking down the proverbial aisle to waking up this morning and knowing in his soul that he'd never be alone because they belonged to each other.
Because he was married; he had a wife. The thought was enough for him to scrunch up his nose and kiss her head, with his heart about to explode of happiness. Him, married. The thought alone was crazy — not because he never wanted it, quite the opposite — because he did but just never saw it in the cards for him.
With how hectic his life was, not to mention everyone's expectations, the only certainty he could have was that if he found that happiness, he'd fight for it. Of course, he was still wary at first; he mused over it while he nuzzled the top of her head. He didn't want to hurt the person he loved most by exposing them to the media, the stalkers, and the crazy.
Leah mumbled something and moved to face him, breathing calmly, and he kissed the tip of her nose. Of course, she was already going through much worse than that now, and honestly, being the strongest of the two. On Rook Island, there was nothing he could do, but once back, he'd do anything in his reach to keep her safe and happy. ARMY would surely understand that his heart could fit love for everyone. Namjoon was right; they all wanted his happiness too.
His hand was wrapped around Namjoon's stone when Leah grumbled, "I can't move..." Her legs were tangled with his, and he chuckled at her pout. She huffed with effort, "What did you do?"
"What do you mean?"
He let go of the stone and brushed her hair away from her green eyes staring at him with a glint of annoyance, "I think I'm—" A groan with a bit of a grimace interrupted her as she stopped his leg from going further up between her legs. She sulked further, "I'm sore. What did you do?"
He couldn't help smirking, "Nothing you didn't ask me to."
She squinted at him despite his dazzlingly happy smile, but then she relented. She still turned her back on him, but snuggled back to spoon with him. Her sigh was loud and clear as he wrapped an arm around her and kissed her head.
