A.N.: Here we have it, the moment we've all been waiting for :) I hope you enjoy! 💜

-----------------------

Leah was in a big, beautiful garden. She walked serenely down a familiar path, taking an unimpeded deep breath. The sun rays felt warm on her face as the spring perfume, along with the chirp of birds, carried a sense of ease. The top of the lush green trees billowed with the wind, giving her senses a peaceful framework while flowers flanked the path she was on.

Everything was tranquil until something hit her chest, startling her. It was a single monstera leaf that she pushed away with a frown. That plant didn't belong in that park, right?

Before she could conclude how odd that sudden appearance was, the forest around her started changing. The canopy above her head became denser as the colors around her became more vibrant. Suddenly, she couldn't take a step without having to push tropical foliage out of the way, with its beautiful emerald-green hues making her feel deeply immersed. She was no longer on a flower-flanked path but in the thick of a jungle, with fern fronds tickling her legs as she tried to keep moving.

She perked up when the foliage cleared ahead, and upon noticing a domed glass emerge above the forest canopy atop the hill, she smiled with relief. She wasn't lost, and she was made certain of it when a big circular pond covered in blooming pink, violet, and white water lilies extended in front of her seemingly endlessly. The beautiful scenery with calm waters and perfumed sprinkles of color reassured her, but it wouldn't have been enough for her to make a stop on her journey. Yet, something else caught her breath.

She had a second to register the woman sitting on the stone edge of the pond before she turned Leah with a gentle smile. It was all Leah needed to have tears stinging her eyes as she ran unbridledly to meet her.

Besides the smile that soothed and simultaneously made her heart ache, the next thing Leah noticed was the long wavy hair falling over the woman's shoulders. The final touch appeared when the woman laughed and opened her arms to greet Leah, her beauty mark under her right eye right as she remembered it.

The tears strangled her voice as she fell into her mother's embrace, and for a second, she was speechless with anguish. Then something was pushed on her head, covering her eyes, and Leah pulled back.

"I don't like it," she whimpered, pulling the white hat's wide brim away from her eyes.

She had to look up at her mother, who was now leaning down with a delighted smile as she brushed her daughter's hair to fall properly. "But you look so cute with it on."

Leah's instinct was to sulk and whine about it some more, but before she could, someone called out, "LEAH!"

Little Leah turned back to the jungle with wide, frightened eyes, still hanging on to the brim of her white hat. Silence contrasted greatly with such a shout in such a peaceful place, and she trembled, looking at the thick green foliage. What was that?

A pair of soothing hands fell on her shoulders, and Leah was able to breathe. Right. She recognized that voice.

"Finneas is calling me."

"Come on, tinks!"

Leah smiled, happy it was her brother calling her. She turned to her mother with a cheeky smile. "Maybe he got lost."

Her mother returned her playful smile and sat back on the edge of the lake, letting her go. "Maybe you should go and find him."

Leah's smile vanished. Suddenly, she was apprehensive again. Her small hands played with the hat again, keeping it on her head, but it wasn't that. Her mother was simply smiling, and then she turned to the lake, and Leah's eyes followed.
