Jin, dressed and ready, entered the room where he had carefully prepared the dinner. The soft lighting and delicate floral aroma filled the air, creating a serene atmosphere. As Jin inspected everything one last time, he heard the sound of a car pulling into the villa.
Taehyung had arrived.
Jin's heart skipped a beat, and nervous thoughts flooded his mind.
"What do I do? Where do I hide? What will he think of me? Will he like it? Or will he be upset? What if he scolds me? What if he doesn't like the food I made?"
Jin instinctively rubbed his neck, his anxiety clear in his gestures. He lingered by the door, unable to move, watching anxiously.
A few moments later, Taehyung walked into the villa and made his way upstairs. Spotting Jin by the room, he paused briefly, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. However, he didn't say anything and instead continued to his room, shutting the door behind him.
Jin stood frozen, unsure of what to say or do. "How do I move forward with a relationship?"
Feeling overwhelmed, Jin returned to his room, closing the door behind him. He lay down on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His mind swirled with doubt and questions.
"Am I doing the right thing? What if he doesn't like it? What if he never tells me about my daughter? What should I do to make him trust me enough to share that part of his life with me?"
The hours passed, but Jin couldn't muster the courage to leave his room. He remained lying there, lost in his thoughts, until the sound of his door opening startled him.
Taehyung stepped inside, his expression calm but unreadable. Jin quickly sat up and stood to the side, nervous and unsure of what to expect. Taehyung stood a few feet away, slipping his hands into his pant pockets as he spoke.
"I heard you made dinner."
Jin avoided Taehyung's gaze, staring at the floor as he nodded shyly.
Taehyung raised an eyebrow. "Then why didn't you call me?"
Jin hesitated before replying, his voice barely above a whisper. "I... I thought you'd be upset. I didn't know what you'd think..."
Understanding Jin's hesitation, Taehyung softened his tone, attempting to make him feel comfortable.
"Don't worry. I won't say anything. Let's go have dinner."
Relieved yet still nervous, Jin nodded and led Taehyung to the room where he had prepared the meal.
As they entered, Taehyung took in the sight of the neatly arranged table, the soft glow of lights, and the warmth in the room. Jin gestured for him to sit and began serving the food. He poured wine for Taehyung and himself before taking a seat across from him.
Taehyung felt a sense of peace he hadn't experienced in years, sharing a quiet dinner like this with Jin. Jin, on the other hand, was visibly nervous, his cheeks flushed as he avoided Taehyung's loving gaze.
The two of them ate in silence, the quietness heavy yet comforting, as they navigated the unspoken emotions lingering between them.
Taehyung had already finished his dinner, but Jin, who hadn't eaten yet, called for a bottle of champagne. As he sipped quietly, Taehyung's eyes remained fixed on him, studying every little expression on Jin's face.
"You didn't believe my words, but you trust Yoongi's so easily?" Taehyung said, his voice calm but with a hint of teasing. "And now, here you are, having dinner with me."
Jin shifted uncomfortably in his seat, avoiding eye contact. "I don't remember much, but back when I was staying at my aunt's house, I was completely lost. I couldn't remember anything about my past life. Yoongi... he helped me a lot. He gave me a purpose to live. Even though I had forgotten my past, he helped me shape my future. He's the one who hired me as his assistant. He's truly a good person."
