When Jin gets discharged and returns home with Uncle Min, Aunt Min, and Jisoo, accompanied by Jisoo's boyfriend who drove them, he heads towards his room, broken. Quietly, he tells Uncle Min, "Uncle, please call a taxi. Take me to the village. I can't stay here anymore."
Jisoo says, "Taxi? Why? Min-kyu can drop us."
Jin responds, "I don't want to burden you both any further. You've done enough for me, and I'm grateful for it. I don't want to be a weight on you."
Jisoo, with tears in her eyes, hugs Jin tightly and says, "I'm so sorry, Oppa... I shouldn't have left you alone. I should have understood..."
Jin reassures her, "No, Jisoo, I'm not upset with you. Your happiness is all I want. I just don't want to cause you two any more trouble."
Kim Min-kyu then says, "Hyung, please don't make us feel guilty. Give us a chance to be there for you. Just let us spend some time with you until things settle down, and we'll return afterward."
Jin looks over to Uncle and Aunt Min, who both give a slight nod.
"Alright," Jin agrees softly.
Then, they all start preparing to leave for the village. Soon after, they depart for Yangdong Village in Kim Min-kyu's car.

That evening, Taehyung abruptly leaves his meeting and returns to Seoul, surprising everyone as they sit in the living room. Mrs. Kim is about to ask him why he's returned so suddenly, but before she can, Taehyung strides over to Jungkook and slaps him hard.
Jungkook, equally angry, grabs Taehyung by the collar and shouts, "HYUNG! I'm not a child anymore, that you can slap and expect me to stay silent."
Taehyung, with equal intensity, replies, "Fine, then hit your older brother if you want. I deserve at least that much for the mistakes I made."
Mr. Kim intervenes, "What's going on here?"
Ignoring the question, Taehyung pulls out a one-year marriage contract, the same papers he forced Jin to sign, and hands them to Jungkook.
Taehyung says, "Here, these are the marriage contract papers I forced Jin to sign. I pressured him to stay with me so I could keep him away from you."
Grandma, shocked, asks, "What are you saying, Tae? How could you do such a thing?"
Taehyung, voice heavy with guilt, confesses, "Yes, Grandma... I did this. I thought if Jin married me, I could have him for myself and keep Jungkook's marriage with Jimin intact, Jungkook. I was so blinded by my own selfishness that I didn't realize what was right or wrong. I thought if I married Jin, I could win his heart and claim his child as mine."
"But Jin made me realize that while I could give that child my name, I could never be its father. Only you could, Jungkook. And I can never take your place."
In a broken voice, he continues, "I was so desperate to have Jin that I manipulated him emotionally and forced him to let me get close. I shouldn't have done that... I'm deeply ashamed. Jin was so emotionally shattered, and I took advantage of that, trying to keep him away from you."
"But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't erase you from his heart," Taehyung says, looking at Jungkook, who is visibly surprised. "He loves only you, Jungkook. In every thought, you're the one that comes to his mind first. Anything he did, I forced him to do."
Realizing his mistake, Jungkook suddenly falls to his knees, breaking down. "What have I done... I've made a terrible mistake, Mom... Grandma... I was so wrong about Jin. I accused him... I said such cruel things... I even... I told him to end the life of the child that was a symbol of our love..."
