After returning to Korea, Jungkook and Jin moved into a house on the outskirts of the city, nestled in the hills.

Jungkook had started working as a director at a new company, while Jin found himself alone in the large house, often feeling bored. To pass the time, he decided to cook something nice for Jungkook.
Just as he was finishing the meal, the doorbell rang. Excited, Jin went to answer it, expecting Jungkook. But when he opened the door, he was surprised to see Taehyung standing there. Jin was startled but quickly masked his shock with a soft smile, greeting him politely.
"Sir... You're here. Welcome," Jin said, his voice polite yet unsure.
Taehyung smiled back, a warm yet slightly teasing glint in his eyes. "How are you, Jin? It's nice to see you so happy."
Jin invited Taehyung inside, gesturing for him to sit down, though he couldn't help but feel Taehyung's eyes lingering on him a little too closely.
"What's Kookie up to? I called him earlier, but he didn't pick up. Mom wanted to talk to him," Taehyung said, his tone casual, though his gaze stayed fixed on Jin.
Jin's heart sank as guilt washed over him. He knew the real reason Jungkook had distanced himself from his family-because of him. Jungkook hadn't been talking to his mother, and now Jin felt responsible for it.
"Jungkook's at work. He's been really busy lately," Jin explained, his voice soft and filled with unease. "He's been coming home late most nights."
"Seems like Kookie's really tied up these days..." Taehyung responded, this time looking directly into Jin's eyes, his tone carrying an underlying meaning that made Jin feel even more uncomfortable.
Jin, feeling the awkward tension, quickly offered, "Please, have a seat. I'll bring you something to eat."
As soon as Jin went to the kitchen to get the snacks, Taehyung took the opportunity to survey the house carefully. His eyes roamed over the elegant interiors, then drifted outside through the large glass wall. The view confirmed that there were no houses nearby, the isolation causing a mysterious smirk to curl his lips. He subtly placed his phone on a nearby side table and walked towards the kitchen.
Jin, busy arranging snacks and tea on a plate, was startled when Taehyung suddenly appeared right behind him.
"You! You should sit down..." Jin stammered, his heart racing.
Taehyung's voice was calm, almost too calm. "I was feeling bored alone... thought I'd come join you in here."
"Oh..." Jin muttered, trying to keep his composure.
"Don't you ever feel lonely by yourself?" Taehyung asked, his gaze never leaving Jin.
Jin nodded slightly, his voice steady but uneasy. "I do... but I've gotten used to it. It's peaceful, in a way."
