Rose took a quick shower, slipping into jeans, boots, a t-shirt, and her jacket from the day before. She tied her hair back into a messy ponytail, making a mental note to get a haircut soon. Carefully, she cradled her sore arm, picked up her bag and phone, and hurried downstairs.
As she entered the dining room, she caught Raven's low whisper, "Look who's talking," but the room fell silent as everyone noticed her arrival.
"Rose," Riley began, "Raven told us about the wedding. We'd love to help—just tell us what you need."
After breakfast, Rose announced she'd be heading to Hansley Residence Two. The security team nodded, explaining that her father had instructed them to keep an eye on her. She groaned but eventually accepted, getting into the Ferrari with Raven, while Teresa and Riley followed in a separate car, accompanied by a few security personnel.
An hour later, they arrived. As they entered, maids hurried over to greet her.
"Miss Hansley," they said respectfully, which made Rose shift uncomfortably. She greeted them in return and led the group inside.
"Alright, Raven, here's what I had in mind," Rose said and explained, showing him the mansion's grand ballroom before guiding them to the doors leading outside.
Placing her hands on both doors, she turned to Raven with a smile. He looked a bit nervous.
"Ready?" she asked.
Raven nodded, and Rose opened the doors, revealing a stunning garden filled with vibrant flowers. Everyone was awestruck as they took in the view. Raven walked out, eyes wide, taking it all in.
"I could never afford a place like this," he murmured.
"Raven, stop it," Rose chided. "Do you think Rebecca will like it for the wedding?"
"Definitely," Raven whispered, a soft smile on his face.
They all began sharing ideas on how to organize the outdoor space, each bringing their own suggestions to life. Nearby, the maids watched with growing curiosity.
"Miss Hansley," one maid ventured as she offered appetizers, "has someone finally caught your eye?" As soon as the words left her mouth, her face went pale with realization, and Riley, Teresa, and Raven exchanged surprised glances.
Rose let out an awkward laugh. "No," she replied, shaking her head. "It's my best friend here who's headed to the altar."
The maid blushed, bowing her head. "Please forgive my insolence."
Rose rolled her eyes playfully, and the maid, reassured, smiled before hurrying off.
"We need a wedding planner to have our ideas come to life and the banquet arranged," Teresa noted. "Raven, do you have those details sorted?"
Raven's face turned a shade of red. "Let me call Rebecca," he mumbled, retreating to the garden for a private space.
"Rose," Riley whispered. "We're sorry—"
Rose shook her head. "I really don't want to talk about it. There are things I couldn't explain even if I tried," she whispered, her mind flashing to memories of Elijah and their night. She coughed, shifting uncomfortably. "How's Brianna?" she asked, changing the subject.
Teresa and Riley shared a soft, slightly sad smile. "She's getting through it," Teresa replied.
Rose nodded, understanding their unspoken sentiment.
A frustrated voice interrupted them. "Rebecca, I know I messed up by not setting the location earlier, and I get it if you're frustrated about the wedding planner. But the banquet—" Raven's voice wavered. "If you want to call the wedding off, just say it. Stop leaving me hanging. You have no idea how hard I'm trying."
