Sunoo felt like his entire body was crumbling.

Every movement was a struggle, each breath like it was being dragged through a thick fog. His throat was raw, burning with every swallow, and his feverish body ached from the inside out.

But even with the intensity of it all, there was something worse than the sickness gnawing at him, a quiet, nagging feeling of being unheard.

It started this morning, when he woke up feeling off.

At first, it was just a slight soreness in his throat, something he could ignore, something he could push through. But by the time he got to the practice studio, his head was pounding relentlessly, and his body felt like it was moving in slow motion.

The others noticed. At least, he thought they did, but when he mentioned how he wasn’t feeling well, they’d brushed it off.

"Sunoo, you always get sick," Sunghoon had said, flashing him a quick smile. "You’ll be fine."

"I think you’re just tired," Jake added, his voice light but with an undertone of concern. "You’ve been pushing yourself a lot lately."

Sunoo tried to laugh it off, but his chest felt too tight, his lungs too shallow. Still, he didn’t want to be a burden. He didn’t want to be the weak link.

As the hours passed, he became more and more aware of how his body was failing him.

His temperature rose, his head swam, and the dizziness started to make the edges of his vision blur. But still, he pressed on. He couldn’t be the one to slow them down. Not today.

It was during rehearsal that the worst of it hit.

They were practicing their latest choreography, the sharp, precise movements requiring every ounce of energy they had, and Sunoo was struggling to keep up.

His body refused to cooperate, his legs too weak to carry him, and his mind too foggy to focus on the steps.

“Sunoo, come on,” Ni-Ki said with a frown, noticing Sunoo falter in the middle of a sequence. “Get it together.”

Sunoo blinked, trying to focus, but the room spun around him. He felt the sweat prickling on his skin, his breath coming in gasps, as if his lungs couldn’t expand enough to take in the air.

He raised his hand, motioning to one of his members.

“I… I need to sit down for a minute,” Sunoo said, his voice rough and strained.

Sunghoon gave him a glance, eyes narrowing slightly in annoyance. “We're almost done here, Sunoo. You can't just stop now.”

Sunoo’s chest tightened, and his hand trembled slightly as he tried to steady himself on the floor.

“I—I don’t think I can,” he stammered, the dizziness worsening. His vision blurred even more, and he felt like he might collapse.

But Sunghoon didn’t seem to notice.. or maybe he didn’t care. “It’s fine, we’ve got this,” he muttered dismissively. “Just push through, okay?”

Sunoo’s heart sank.

He opened his mouth to protest, but the words wouldn’t come out.

His throat was too dry, and the room was spinning too quickly. Before he could even steady himself, he felt his knees give way, and he crashed to the floor.

“Sunoo!” Jungwon was the first to rush over, kneeling beside him as Sunoo tried to blink through the haze of dizziness.

Sunoo’s vision was still blurry, but he could make out Jungwon’s concerned face, and for a moment, he almost felt relieved. Almost.

“I… I don’t feel good,” Sunoo managed, his voice weak. “I—I think I’m getting really sick.”

Jungwon’s brow furrowed. “You should’ve told me earlier. But, it’s probably just exhaustion. You’ve been pushing yourself a lot.”

Sunoo’s body shivered, his stomach churning. “It’s not… it’s not just that,” he rasped, but even as he said the words, he knew it wouldn’t matter.

Jungwon paused, looking between him and the others, but then the door opened, and Sunghoon walked in, his expression slightly annoyed.

“What's going on?” Sunghoon asked worried, as he walked out of the room before Sunoo had collapsed.

Sunwon shot him a quick glance. "Sunoo is really sick. He doesn’t look good either."

He quickly pulled out a water bottle from his bag and handed it to him. “Drink this and take a break. You'll feel better.”

But Sunoo felt anything but better.

His vision was still blurry, and his entire body felt heavy.

As the hours dragged on, Sunoo’s condition worsened. He tried to keep going, tried to participate, but his limbs were too weak, his head too foggy.

He was barely able to focus on the steps and had to pause constantly to catch his breath.

Jungwon did his best to comfort him, but he couldn’t seem to understand the depth of Sunoo’s discomfort.

Deep down, he assumed it was exhaustion, just a temporary phase, something Sunoo could sleep off.

And Sunoo knew that's what they thought.

But it wasn’t like that.

Sunoo could feel the fever seeping into his bones, the tightness in his chest, the dizziness that made everything spin. He knew this wasn’t just something that would go away with sleep.

He saw Jay sitting somewhere by himself and tried to approach him, hoping someone would listen.

“Jay,” he whispered, his voice barely audible, “please, I really need help. I don’t think I can—”

Before he could finish, his vision completely blacked out, and his body collapsed once again.

When Sunoo finally woke up, he was in his own bed, but surrounded by concerned faces. Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Jake, and Ni-Ki were gathered around, their expressions full of guilt.

“Sunoo, you really should’ve said something sooner,” Jungwon murmured, his voice quiet, almost regretful. “We didn’t realize it was this bad.”

Heeseung sat by his side, rubbing a hand over his face. “We... we were too caught up in everything. We should’ve listened to you.”

Sunoo’s throat was sore, his voice weak as he looked at them. “I tried... to tell you. But no one believed me.”

It was then, as they finally acknowledged the seriousness of his condition, that Sunoo felt a deep wave of exhaustion wash over him.

The silence stretched, thick and uncomfortable, before Sunghoon finally broke it.

“We’re sorry, Sunoo. We won’t ignore you again.”

And Sunoo, though still weary and worn, nodded, finally feeling like maybe, just maybe, they were starting to understand.
