Valentina and her brother sat on a log as their mother read nearby, they were both hungry, Valentina could usually make things for them to eat but not while she was tired, which the little girl very much was.

"We're hungry."

Nicholas finally said out loud after the pair deliberated on whether to say anything or not, they didn't want to disturb their mother.

"Oh."

Was all Agatha said as the twins approached her, shutting her book, Agatha knew her daughter could do something about the food situation but she could also see that the little girl was tired, and things never went according to plan when Valentina tried to use her magic tired.

"You two want a lesson, you say?"

Agatha then continued, knowing full well that was what the boy had just said, earning a sarcastic laugh from her daughter

"Can't you just make us some food? Like vally does when she's not tired."

Nicholas asked agatha, and as if of command Valentina yawned as her brother said tired. Valentina rested her head in her mother's lap as Nicholas sat next to them, Agatha smiling as she started to play with the little girl's hair.

"Mmm. I cannot."

Agatha told Nicholas, that was the case, it was usually Valentina that got some vegetables or berries for them to eat.

"Use your purple."

Nicholas whispered to Agatha, he had noticed his sister had fallen asleep in their mother's lap and didn't want to wake her.

"My what?"

Agatha whispered back, she knew exactly what her son was talking about. Nicholas called Agatha's powers her purple while he called his sister's her clouds or her storm clouds, he called them storm clouds because sometimes when Valentina would get angry they would just appear, hence storm clouds.

"Your purple."

Nicholas repeated what he had called Agatha's power, Agatha looking away, a mischievous look on her face as she blasted the ground nearby, startling the girl awake.

"Huh? What? I'm up."

Valentina said as she sprung up, Agatha and Nicky starting to laugh, as Valentina looked around confused as to what was going on.

"I can cast illusions."

Agatha said through laughter, she was teaching the little boy a lesson on her magic.

"I can control a feeble mind."

Agatha continued, Valentina could do everything her mother could do, plus the green magic, but she wasn't as good at it as her mother.

"I can move objects using my will."

This was one of the skills that Valentina was exceptionally bad at, she didn't know why, but she was.

"But I cannot heal you."

Valentina looked at her mother confused, she knew her brother was sick but she thought he would get better.

"I cannot protect you from what's coming."

Valentina was always going to protect her little brother, so she knew she had to protect him.

"And I cannot divine when... when she will return."

Agatha stuttered as she told the little boy, Valentina wishing her other mother was here, maybe she could heal her little brother.

"You think it's funny to scare our daughter do you?"

Suddenly the woman, Rio appeared, Agatha face immediately dropped, the woman turning pale, as the woman she was just warning her son about appeared.
