Today was the day, the most anticipated quidditch game. Camden was cleared by Madame Pomfrey and he was on his way to play for the first time in months. His leg has healed up nicely and he was determined to play at least once before his time at school ended.

Well, his wish was coming true because he was sitting in the locker room, his eyes closed and his head against one of the lockers. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, preparing for the blood bath he wanted to leave out on the field after yearning to feel the manipulation of the broom.

Blaise sat next to him, breaking out of whatever trance he was in. "You're going to kill out there." He said, clapping his hand on his shoulder.

"I know." He answered, locking eyes with the captain. "We're going to win."

"I know." Blaise replied. He was really proud of his best friend and how he persevered after the horrible injury he had.

The slytherins were going against the hufflepuffs, so there wasn't that much of a rivalry, but they refused to lose. It was Camden's return, and he was angry. He would trample whoever was in his way to that victory. There were only three more quidditch games and then they graduated, never to play at Hogwarts again.

Blaise stood up, clapping his hands once to get the team's attention. Like they should, they flocked towards him, standing in a circle. The team looked up to him, and he reveled in the glory.

"Okay, team. Camden's back on the field today, so we have to use him to our advantage. If in doubt, leave it to him. We played many games, and he only got three. Remember the teamwork exercises we did at practice and how much trust we have in each other." He gave a short speech, really wanting the focus to be on Camden and the few games he's going to play. "Now let's go out there and celebrate one of our essential players being back."

With that the team stepped onto the pitch, the cheers were addictive. People from all houses showing their support for Camden, who was very anticipated in the team, seeing as he is an amazing player. The fans were decked out in green, even their face paint.

At the bottom of the stands, close to the players benches, were Kali and Carla, very festive in their outfits. Kali wore a jersey that Blaise gave her. It reached her knees, yet she didn't mind. Carla wore a jersey with Camden's last name on the back, celebrating his return.

The girls were cheering as loud as they possibly could, their throats already hurting. Their hair bobbed up and down as they jumped, so happy for the team that they sounded wild. Since they had the best seats in the house, they were allowed to scream as hard as they wanted to.

The boys noticed them, laughing when they saw how covered they were in green. Camden gave them the biggest smile and a thumbs up, he was so excited to actually show them how talented he was on the pitch. They met him at his lowest, and he was about to show them how he looks at his highest.

The hufflepuffs stared at them from across the field, mildly confused as to why these girls from their house were cheering for the enemy. Truthfully, Kali and Carla didn't care. They weren't really quidditch fans so they were here to support their friends, not take this championship seriously.

When the teams were ready, they took up to the sky, only a second into the game and they were zooming in a million directions. It was difficult to see who was who, but after discussing their body shapes and sizes, they found their three friends quickly.

It was challenging for Kali to keep her eyes off of Blaise because the way he commanded the team was so attractive to her. He looked powerful and in his element. His face was set in stone, none of the gentleness he has for her on it, but this was another side of him that she appreciated. This crush on him was becoming a problem.

Kali's stomach filled with butterflies as the slytherins scored a point and Blaise celebrated with his team. That smug look on his face was enough to make her whole body tingle. She tried to focus on Camden, since he was obviously the star today, yet it was hard.

Camden was an amazing quidditch player, and it was obvious how much he enjoyed the game. He had a permanent smile on his face, one that stayed there the whole game. It was so evident how crucial he was for the team. They are moving in perfect synchrony.

Draco and Camden act like a dynamic duo, they do every play together since they have probably been rejersing for years. Their teamwork is embedded in their blood. They work like brothers, and that was probably how they felt like.

Finally, like expected, Slytherin won the game. The pitch exploded with celebration and mourning. The hufflepuffs knew they were losing, so most of the crowd just cheered along with the winners.

Kali and Carla jumped up and down, already knowing they were going to win, but satisfied that they didn't paint their faces in vain. As people left the arena, they stayed behind, sitting at their bench talking while the boys were alone and they could go talk to them.

Once they were alone, walking back to the locker room, they approached them, all big smiles and proud eyes. Blaise, Draco and Camden lit up at the sight.

"Oh my goodness! You were amazing!" Carla shouted as she approached, skipping towards them with glee.

"That was your best game yet!" Kali exclaimed as she neared Blaise, who already had his arms open for her to jump into them.

Their height difference was significant, so he lifted her off the floor with his arms around her waist, hers on his neck. He chuckled as she squirmed in his grip, not expecting the air time. Blaise put her down and she ran directly to Camden, hugging him a bit gentler since she thought his knee hurt a little.

"Cammy, you were a machine." She spoke to him, his cheeks reddening at all the praise. "You and Draco are so in sync, it's weird."

Draco liked the compliments that they were also giving him, but his cheeks were as red as the gryffindor crest. "He did great, like he never took that impromptu break."

"It felt good to be out there again." Camden sighed, looking so content it could almost make Kali's heart burst.

"Ew." Carla said and stepped back when she took a nice look at the slytherins. "You guys are sweaty. I can't believe I hugged you like this."

This made Kali recoil too, she created a bit of distance between her and them. "Me neither." Her nose scrunched at the boys in front of her that were sweaty and covered in grass stains. Which she didn't understand because they were in the sky.

Blaise rolled his eyes, but nodded. "We'll go shower." He complied. "Come to our dorm at eight, there's a party going on and you guys are our guests of honor."

Kali smiled at him and nodded, a bit flushed at how his voice sounded. "Okay. See you then."

They both parted ways, excited for what the night could hold.
