*time jump to a week after hyunjin appeared at lily's house*

It had been a long week, no students to teach and a full week of shift at the cafe. I had spoken to hyunjin a few times in the past week but not for very long, we were both simultaneously busy with work.

However, he had invited me out for dinner tonight and I assumed it was the redo dinner we were due. I was slightly excited for tonight, I wanted it to go perfectly in comparison to our last dinner date.

At least now I didn't need to be completely awkward with hyunjin as I knew he had some sort of feelings for me too, since he kissed me that night.

I finished work at 3pm and he said he would pick me up at 4:45pm from my apartment.

*12:55pm*

The cafe had been very busy all morning but it was finally calming down after the lunch service. I was through the back taking plates through when I heard the bell ring as someone entered the cafe.

I quickly rushed to put the plates beside the sink for the people in back of house to wash and headed back to the counter, as unfortunately I was the only front of house staff member today.

I was met with a group of 4 men, and more specifically Bang Chan, Changbin, Felix and Seungmin. I couldn't believe my eyes at first and had a slight heart attack, I composed myself in seconds and became my usual self with costumers.

"Welcome, what can I get for you today?" I said with a big smile, waiting for their orders. "Can we get 4 iced caramel lattes please." Chan answered with a smile.

I typed the order into the register and told them their total, I then turned and walked through the back to wait for their orders to be made.

I did have a moment of thought, how come I keep running into them ever since me and hyunjin had become close. I just wanted one day of peace and being stress free.

After about 5 minutes I took the four drinks out to the table that the 4 of them were sat at, I smiled as I placed the drinks down in front of them. "Enjoy." I said in the most joyful voice I could muster up, and turned making my way back to the counter.

It had been about 20 minutes since they had been sat in the cafe, and to be fair it looked like they weren't going to be leaving anytime soon.

The sound of the bell above the door ringing pulled me out of my thoughts, it was one of my favourite regulars at the cafe. Mrs Choi, she was 78 year old lady who often came into the cafe to see me.

She always told me stories about her childhood and about her children who lived abroad. She made me feel like I was one of her grandchildren, I felt a sense of comfort around her.

"Hello Mrs Choi, how have you been today?" I said with a smile from ear to ear, she always brought out my genuine smile. "Oh the same old dear, I want to hear about you." She said in her sweet soft voice.

"How about I come sit with you for 5 minutes once I get your order, huh?" I took a moment when she smiled, "The usual?" I said and she nodded as she headed over to her usual spot in the cafe.

I headed through and her order was already in the making as one of the chefs in the back had heard her voice. I then took her tea and muffin over to the table, sitting down across from her.

"So my dear, how have you been keeping." She slowly asked as she sipped her tea, I didn't like telling her the bad stuff so I always stayed positive around her. "I took a few days off to recharge, then I have a full week of shifts this week." I said smiling, trying to mask my exhausted expression.

*about 10 minute later*

I was still sat talking to Mrs Choi when the bell rang again signalling someone was entering the cafe, I looked towards the door to see who it was.

I am back from the dead😭 I'm so sorry for no update in forever, I have had no motivation and then was ill over Christmas.

I have started to write again to try finish this sooner rather than later, I go back to uni on the 13th but that's fine I'll find time to write at some point.

Also I'm seeing straykids this year🥳
