(Helllo, this chapter came out a bit later than I wanted it to, but nonetheless it's out now. I really wanted to release this on Thanksgiving, but I was lowkey having a writer's block. Any who, happy belated Thanksgiving to those that celebrated it! Oh and if anyone was planning on pulling for the banners up at the moment, good luck!! Let me know how your pulls go, I'm currently saving up for Mavuika and Citlali, I'm sooooo excited for their release (fun fact: Mavuika releases on my bday!))
~(Scaramouche)~
The harbinger swore he remembered this scene a bit differently from how it's unfolding right now. He thought that (Y/N) never showed up when he was meeting with Dottore, so why is she here now? Is he having some sort of Mandela effect? Maybe he's hallucinating..?
Scaramouche liked the fact that they made up, but he feels that there's a slight chance that none of this is real. His head is hazy and it feels all jumbled up inside like it was messing with his thought process. He grabbed his head in pain, a slight groan can be heard from his mouth.
"Kuni? Are you okay?" the girl in front of him asked.
The pain was so bad that he couldn't even answer her, he just felt like there were tons of devils stabbing their tiny fork into his brain. It was unbearable, but he had to get it together- especially in front of (Y/N). He didn't want her to worry about him.
"I'm okay. Don't worry-" he managed.
As soon as he finished his sentence, he was pulled into a hug and a scent he was familiar with filled his nose. He managed to refocus his eyes and noticed that (Y/N) had pulled him into her embrace and held him tightly in her arms. Not being comfortable with a hug, Scaramouche had no idea what to do. Should he push her away? Or should he just stay still?
In the past, no one has ever dared to get close to him- let alone have physical contact with someone like him. He didn't know how to feel about their situation right now, but since he didn't want her to worry Scaramouche decided to just stay still in hopes that his headache would somehow subside.
Luckily, a few minutes in the arms of his fiancée he actually started to feel a lot better, it was like she was the antidote to his poison. (that sounded cringey, sorry guys) He rested his head on her shoulders as she patted his back. This feeling was something he never thought he would experience in his entire lifetime.
"Feeling better?"
"Yeah- I do."
"That's good to hear!"
(Y/N) smiled brightly at the puppet and he was dumbfounded by her expression, she was so beautiful. Why did he always think that she was a bit ugly..? Or why was her personality so hard to deal with? But now? She seemed like the sweetest thing he's ever laid his eyes on, and that's close to nothing. Why was he feeling like this?
"uni- Kuni? You still with me?" (Y/N) waved her hand in front of his face.
Snapping from his thoughts, "Huh? Oh- yeah? What's the matter?"
"I was talking to you about a problem that I needed your help with. But you have to trust me on this one, and just follow my directions."
Scaramouche looked at the woman in front of him with a puzzled expression. The only problem that they could possibly have would be Dottore, but he was no longer in sight anymore. Out of sight, out of mind- well at least for now.
"I'm listening."
"Okay- so what I'm about to tell you will sound absurd, but I assure you it's the truth..." she took a deep breath, "We're in your dreams."
At first, he was simply nodding along to her speaking but froze at the word "dreams". Giving (Y/N) a more serious look, "What do you mean?"
"I was sent here by the Dendro Archon to find a way to wake you up. This isn't the real world, we're only in your dreams. To be more specific, we're in a part where you felt the most angry."
