(MERRY CHRISTMAS!! And to those that don't celebrate it, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! I was hoping I could release this chapter sooner, but releasing it before the New Year and my bday, would be a good thing.)

~Scaramouche~

"Investigate? What more could I learn from Irminsul when it's your personal data bank?"

"This issue concerns the Traveler and his origins; I know the Fatui Harbingers have information on him, and since you did work for them you would know what information to look for and understand."

Scaramouche pondered that thought for a moment, it's as if he has a choice honestly. She did save his life, so doing her this favor wouldn't be so bad.

"Alright, I'll grant you this favor. You did save my life." he grumbled that last sentence.

"I knew you'd agree!" Nahida excitedly clapped her hands.

"Well, do I really have a choice?" he grimaced.

"Haha, I wouldn't have forced you to do this task if you didn't want to. But something told me you'd help me out, seems like my hypothesis was correct." she giggled.

"Yeah, yeah. Just call for me when you need my assistance. I'm gonna head out." Scaramouche took one good glance at the laying figure of (Y/N) before he turned his back and walked out of the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

Finally feeling the breeze of fresh air after being confined in that stuffy place for so long was a nice change of scenery. He continued walking towards the balcony that overlooked the entirety of Sumeru City. The gentleness of the wind felt chilling against his face, Scaramouche never thought to just stand back and feel the pressure of the wind, he was always busy fighting and being careful with his surroundings.

Another good thing about this specific afternoon was that he could no longer feel the major authoritative presence of Il Dottore. Seems that that man left Sumeru awhile ago. A good thing at best, the only thing that would be horrible about the Doctor leaving would be the fact that he's going back to report Scaramouche's betrayal to the Tsaritsa.

However, Scaramouche has long been wanting to cut ties with his fellow "coworkers" ever since the incident with La Signora's death. So this predicament that he finds himself in at the moment was for the best. Maybe life without working under such a toxic workplace would do him some good.

It would be a good change of pace to just go adventuring with (Y/N), or learning more about this world through studying the history of Teyvat- either options sounds pleasing to his ears.

His thoughts were abruptly disrupted from approaching footsteps behind his person, not even having to turn around Scaramouche can easily identify who that person was.

"And to what do I owe the pleasure of the presence of the Traveler?" the man turned around to lay his eyes on a young, blonde haired man.

"I'm here for a talk." Aether spoke, not a floating pixie in sight.

"A talk? Surely you still don't hold a grudge against me after my humiliating defeat?"

"Not at all, my feelings towards you are more of jealousy than a grudge."

"Jealousy? Ah, this is about (Y/N), I'm assuming?"

"I'd never act out of line when it comes to my emotions, but before I depart from Sumeru, we need to have a chat."

"Sure, go on. I have all day."

"I kissed her."

Scaramouche flicked his gaze towards the Traveler, a quick glare was seen from his eyes. He even raised his hand, readying an attack. "Say some stupid shit again and I'll kill you right where you stand."
