~(Y/N)~

Being let down by the guy that was carrying her, she quickly dusted off her clothes and tried to present herself nicely in front of her "boss". The pair walked closer to the center of the area and was greeted with Nahida gesturing for them to sit down in the center platform.

"(Y/N) I'm glad you could make it back today! I was worried sick about you yesterday." the Archon started, sipping some tea that somehow appeared in her hand.

"Haha.. sorry about that Nahida, I sort of lost track of time." she answered sheepishly.

"Pshh- yeah right." the guy in cyan scoffed and the girl shot him a glare.

Giggling at the pair, the god continued to sip at her tea and eyed the man next to the younger girl. He had the freedom to sit down next to (Y/N) but he never took that liberty. He just stood there, arms crossed and kept his sight on the Lesser Lord.

"So what brought you two to me?" she asked but instead of looking at (Y/N), she casted her gaze towards the guy next to her.

The girl was confused for a second, thinking that there may be a possible connection between the two as there was a sense of familiarity- but she decided not to say anything. She, herself, wasn't sure why they were there in the first place. How did this guy even know where the Sanctuary of Surasthana was? Shouldn't this be his first time in Sumeru or was she remembering wrong?

"I need to talk to you about an important matter." he spoke blatantly, (Y/N) could feel some sort of tension rise up. She did not want to be apart of this conversation if things were going to heat up like this.

Lesser Lord Kusanali gave a quick smile and looked towards the officer, her face gave the impression of warmth and compassion. "(Y/N), could I ask you to grab me another cup of tea? I ran out just now."

"Huh? Oh- sure.." she quickly got up and grabbed the small cup out of the Archon's hands. She quietly made her way to the kitchen and set the tea cup down on a nearby counter. This room was one that she would often visit when she was helping out Nahida with certain tasks, so everything felt very familiar to her- almost like a second home.

(Y/N) felt that she was sent away on purpose, she figured there may be some important matters that the two had to discuss without her being there. Perhaps it had something to do with her? She pondered on that thought for a bit but eventually shook away the thought.

Recently, she was starting to remember certain memories of her time with a man. Her head was still fuzzy, but she knows for a fact that a man was once in her life. Whatever happened to him was now in the past, but no matter how many times she tried to recall his face or name, she gets hit with pain and blurry images.

However, when she's with that man out there, her head sometimes feels clear as day but then gets hit with lightning strikes every now and then. It's like a bipolar weather, sunny one moment and rainy the next. It was a bizarre experience for her as she's never felt like this before. (Y/N) had gone to Nahida for guidance on this matter in the past, but not even the God of Dreams could help her out.

A small part of her feels like there was a small lie in the god's words, but she chose to not say anything as Nahida has never caused her any harm. So she was deemed trustworthy until proven otherwise. But something that she thought was suspicious would be the behavior of that hat-wearing guy, why was he acting so frantic and all over the place?

He looked extremely worried and his grip on her on their way here was tight. It was tight enough to have her holding on to his neck, but surprisingly loose enough that she didn't feel any pain. It's almost as if he's thought about her well-being through and through. But why would a person that she met not even a day ago do so much for her?
