It's been a few days since the group had arrived back in Liyue Harbor. They returned just on time for the incoming Lantern Rite festival.

A joyous festival that celebrated the partings of the dead. After the Archon War ended, it became a way to commemorate those who lost their lives during said war. As the years went on, it slowly involved into the festival everyone enjoys contributing in today.

The day was slowly approaching as every citizen in Liyue was preparing for the occasion. It was only apparent to (Y/N) now how important these next few days were.

"Was this the business Aether had mentioned?"

Speaking of the blonde himself, he had quietly let his presence be known by knocking on the officer's bedroom door.

The duo had quietly retreated to (Y/N)'s vacation home, thanks to her, they had a place to stay.

Although it was only momentarily, the stay was rather nice. They enjoyed each other's company, even though there were a few secrets left untouched.

At this point, the girl had gotten used to just being friends with anyone. Everyone outside of Natlan were so.. outgoing and friendly. Except that dude with a large hat.

Normally, a regular day in Natlan would be filled with brutes and curses. Well a regular day in the military was full of that. However, (Y/N) wasn't particularly used to the ways of regular citizens' lives. It simply strange to her to see people gathering around for a festival.

There was never anything like that in Natlan. Maybe it was time to enjoy herself and not get caught up in her work when she's on vacation.

"Sorry to bother you bright and early in the morning, (Y/N). I just wanted to ask if you would like to come along with me." Aether said as he took a few steps back from the door.

The wooden frame opened towards him and reveals a half asleep (Y/N). Her appearance was rather untamed. The girl's hair was messy and tangled, and her shirt was positioned to where Aether could see her stomach.

Must've been a good sleep she had last night. One could tell by all the markings she had on her wrists and face. The Traveler chuckled at the sight, but showed no signs of letting in any indecent thoughts about the girl before him.

"Apologies- since I'm on vacation, I tend to sleep in. What is it that you needed?" (Y/N) yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"Ningguang has plans to rebuild the Jade Chamber, and I was wondering if you wanted to come along and see the progress. " He filled her in.

"The Jade Chamber..? Oh! That floating chamber in the sky I've heard so much about? I don't really have any other plans, the festival is in a mere two days though.. how is it to be finished by then?" She questioned him as she went and opened her luggage up.

"Well while I left you alone for the past few days, I was out collecting the materials for it. Today is the final day, it should be completed by the end of tonight." He spoke in a rather bored tone.

It's as if he's already helped out tons of people multiple times before. They had only interacted at night, that's due to Aether being out all day doing commissions and such for The Adventurer's Guild. So (Y/N) wasn't really sure where to pinpoint this boredom from.

"Ah- well Aether, I would love to come along. I just need to get dressed!" As she said that she immediately went and slammed the door in his face.

The Traveler only gave a slight chuckled before waiting for (Y/N) in the lounge.

After picking out a comfortable outfit to wear for the day, (Y/N) rushed to the lounge to meet up with the blonde hair guy.

They did some greetings and departed towards the construction site of the Jade Chamber.
