~Scaramouche~

A few days had passed after he had left the confines of Sumeru City's samsara cycle, he experienced a few minor issues within his mind but they subsided after he got farther away from the area. Thanks to the power of the Electro Gnosis, Scaramouche was able to avoid most problems that would've afflicted him if he were a human without a gnosis. This discovery only made him more obsess with the chess piece in his body.

He had decided to camp out near Bayda Harbor, making plans to make his way there after he rested up a bit more. The reason why he needed to go to the harbor was because he was trying to escape towards Fontaine. Heading towards Port Ormos would've been a horrible plan since that'll take him right back to Inazuma.

The harbinger had to be more aware of his surroundings as he knows that The Doctor's clones were spread out throughout Sumeru's rainforest. From eavesdropping on his conversation with the Grand Sage by pretending to be asleep, Scaramouche was able to learn that there was a clone of Dottore at Port Ormos. So if he were to escape anywhere, it would've been the opposite directions.

But escaping by himself didn't put his mind at ease whatsoever. After all, he had to leave (Y/N) behind and rely on The Traveler to protect his woman. This situation was NOT what he wanted, but due to a little selfishness and immaturity, Scaramouche felt it was for the better. He needed to learn how to master the power of the Electro Gnosis before he came back for his fiancée.

Sighing as he realized that it's already been quite a few days since he left the city, he's sure that The Doctor has discovered his broken glass cage. This just means that he needs to quicken his pace to Fontaine and hide out in a cave or something to master the gnosis' power. Staying in Sumeru is not only dangerous for him, but if he were to run into (Y/N) he wouldn't be able to leave.

"Tch- bothersome feelings..." he rolled his eyes a bit and laid on his back, admiring what little stars were twinkling that night.

Having so many days to think about his feelings for that woman, Scaramouche has slowly started to accept that she had edged her way into his "heart" and there was nothing he could do to stop it from happening. Although they were engaged for political gain, he genuinely felt a burning passion for her- much to his annoyance.

There's two ways that the harbinger had thought about this situation: one was that it was a good thing that he's come to terms with his inner feelings and emotions, and two was the fact that she'd be his only weakness and that would mean his enemies would be able to kill him faster. Shaking his head at the second thought, he decided to try and sleep the rest of the night off before he pulled an all-nighter thinking about his fiancée.

Morning arrived with the sounds of birds chirping and the sun beaming on his face. Moving his hand to cover the ray of light, he slowly sat up and yawned. The night was rough and sleeping in the wild only made it worse, Scaramouche may be a puppet but that doesn't mean he doesn't experience discomfort from a sore back.

After sitting for awhile, just him and his thoughts again, he finally decided to get up and made his way towards Bayda Harbor. Now that it's light out again, he would have a better chance of spotting the damn place.

The walk from his little camping spot to the harbor took about fifteen minutes, nothing much for a puppet that just woke up. Finally reaching his destination, he did one final stretch before deciding which boat to steal.
