Chapter 40: Monster Association Arc

The Monster Association's base trembled as it began to collapse, sending debris crashing down all around them. Izumi's group struggled to stay on their feet, with Uraraka and Iida slammed into a wall, while Tsu quickly caught Sato. Fubuki, Bang, and Bomb managed to hold their ground, with Inko clinging to Fubuki.

Iida: "What's going on?! Why is the ground shaking like this?!" His voice was drowned out by the crashing sounds around them.

Izumi: "It's falling apart! We need to get out of here!"

Before she could finish, a bright green light surrounded them, and they were lifted off the ground by an invisible force. The rumbling stopped, and they found themselves encased in a shimmering barrier.

Tsu: "What is this?" She looked around, eyes wide with confusion.

Fubuki: "It's her," she muttered, recognizing the source of the energy.

Izumi: "Auntie! My friends are still trapped! Please, you have to save them!"

There was no response, the barrier continuing its steady ascent. Izumi's voice rose, more insistent.

Izumi: "You can't leave them behind! Please! They're in different parts of this place, but they're still alive. They need help!"

Fubuki crossed her arms, glaring upward.

Fubuki: "She'll hear you. She always does."

Inko placed a hand on Izumi's shoulder, offering a calm reassurance.

Inko: "Tatsumaki won't ignore them. She'll help them."

The green barrier pulsed faintly, as if in acknowledgment, before shifting its direction slightly. Izumi let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, her tense shoulders relaxing just a little.

Izumi: "Thank you..." she whispered, her hands still pressed against the barrier.

No one spoke further as the barrier carried them upward.

Meanwhile

The ground shook violently as the Monster Association's lair began to collapse. Bakugo stormed through the crumbling hallway, brushing off falling debris.

Bakugo POV: "That nerd... When did he get so strong... Shit, It's gonna be a pain to get him back. And with the Hero association having him on their kill list... Does that mean Darkshine..." He thought to himself as he stayed quiet.

Bakugo: "Tch. This place is coming apart," he muttered, wiping a streak of blood from his forehead.

He shoved open a broken door and froze. His group was scattered. Kirishima slumped against a wall, staring at the ground. Kaminari groaned, trying to sit up, while Sero leaned against a pillar, clutching his ribs. Jirou and Mineta lay unconscious nearby.

Bakugo: "Oi! Get up! This place is falling apart!"

Kirishima: "I thought I was strong... I trained so hard ever since the yakuza raid... but he crushed me..."

Bakugo's grip tightened, his eyes blazing.

Bakugo: "So what?! You think I don't know what losing feels like? Suck it up! We're not dying here, and I'm not dragging your sorry ass out of this!"

Kaminari raised his head weakly.

Kaminari: "Bakugo, chill... Kirishima just needs a little—"

Bakugo: "Shut it, Pikachu! You think this is a damn therapy session?! If you can talk, you can move!"

Sero winced, trying to adjust himself.

Sero: "He's got a point, though, Kirishima... We're not done yet. Just... get up."

Kirishima hesitated, his voice cracking.

Kirishima: "I—I can't—"

Bakugo: "Yes, you can! Stop whining like a loser and stand up already! That's what you do, remember?"

Before anyone could respond, a green light surrounded them. A barrier formed, lifting them into the air as the lair crumbled below.

Kaminari: "What the—what's happening?! Is this some kinda quirk?"

Sero: "Who cares? It's getting us out!"

Bakugo stayed focused on Kirishima, his tone sharp but quieter now.

Bakugo: "This isn't over, you hear me? We'll win next time. You just gotta stop acting like a damn idiot."

Kirishima blinked, then nodded, a faint spark returning to his eyes.

Kirishima: "Yeah... okay."

Bakugo released him with a grunt, turning his attention back to the chaos outside.

Bakugo: "Tch. Took you long enough."

The group began to flow inside the green barrier as the monsters lair was collapsing.

Todoroki's Group

Todoroki, Tokoyami, Shoji, Ashido, and Yaoyorozu who were accompanied by atomic samurai were injured, brusied and battered.

The group was surrounded by an endless sea of black, humanoid creatures. The swarm was laughing and taunting him. One of them, was a large black sperm that contained at least a million cell inside.

Black sperm: "Oh man...! I thought this was gonna be a lot more fun but that was just disappointing." The monster taunted. "Oh well... That's it, The end!!!"

As a massive Black Sperm prepares to deliver a devastating punch to Atomic Samurai and the students, they are all suddenly enveloped in a green barrier, making the monster punch the barrier instead.

Black sperm: "Huh? What's this?"

Inside the barrier, the group blinked in confusion, their battered forms bathed in the soft green glow.

Ashido: "Okay, uh... what just happened? Not that I'm complaining, but—what is this thing?"

Yaoyorozu: "It appears to be... some kind of protective barrier."

Atomic samurai: "Tatsumaki?" He said as the others looked at him.

The barrier began to float up to the surface as the floor and the walls collapsed.

Black Sperm: "You, don't run away from me!!! ATOMIC SANDBAG!!!"

The black monster yelled in rage as he tried to reach the green barrier. However, just as he was a few centimetres away, the walls around him began to crumble and crush him.

Ashido: "Phew... That was really scary."

Shouji: "You could say that again."

Atomic Samurai: "So let me get this straight: you risked your lives, marched into a monster's den, all because the so-called Hero Hunter happens to be someone's sibling? Do you have any idea how foolish that is? Do you even understand the kind of monsters you're dealing with here? Just why are you here?!!"

Todoroki: "Yes we do and we all came knowing that we might die here. And to answer your question we came here because you Hero Association bastards are trying to kill him.

Atomic Samurai: "You say that like you have the right to judge. Do you know how many heroes and innocents he's put in the ground? How many families he's destroyed? Izuku Yagi isn't some misunderstood victim—he's a monster. And monsters get put down."

Todoroki: "Tsk... we'll see about that." He scoffed
as the Monster Association's lair continued to collapse.

Tatsumaki's green barriers appeared throughout the chaos, rescuing scattered groups of heroes who were battered and struggling to survive.

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter and not updating any new chapters. I'm going through a lot right now and I couldn't find myself making any chapters. I'll try to upload every week from now on untill the story finishes.
