Chapter 44: Monster Association Arc

The battlefield was quiet, the air heavy with smoke and ash. Suddenly, a bright light shot through the sky and crashed into the ground. Genos, lay in the rubble, his body sparking with uncontrollable energy. His systems were failing, and his core was on the verge of exploding.

In front of him were, Puri Puri Prisoner, the martial artist brothers Bang and Bomb and the psychic sisters, Inko and Fubuki.

Fubuki: "Demon Cyborg!!" She yelled in worry.

Puri Puri Prisoner: "Genos-kun?!!"

Bang: "What's happened to you?" He asked in concern as he watched the Cyborg hero shake uncontrollably and electricity generating around him none stop.

Genos: "My power core has exceeded its limits and has begun thermal runaway. I will explode soon." He explained as the heroes look at him in shock.

Inko: "Did you say explode?" She asked in disbelief.

Bang: "Is there no emergency fix?"

Puri Puri Prisoner: "That's right! Drive knight would know Genos-Kun's body inside and out!"

Fubuki: "Phrasing" She muttered with a comically face that showed disgust.

Genos: "He already left." He explained.

5 min earlier

Drive knight: "It seems the barrier is already gone. Objective completed. Pardon me." He said as he de-attached himself from Genos and flied away.

Present

Bomb: "How heartless of him." He said in pity.

Fubuki: "Th-Then what about child emperor?!"

She suggested as Puri Puri Prisoner took out a transmitter locator out of his pocket— Wait hold on he's naked... Where tf did he... Don't tell me he pulled it out of his ass... *The author sighed in defeat as realisation hit him. As a result, he took out a glock from his drawer and aimed at his own head.*

Puri Puri Prisoner: "Hmmm. Seems he was burried in the explosion earlier. I will not allow my cute boys to be scattered to the winds right under my nose! I'll rescue him!" He declared as he dove into the ground.

Inko: "We'll leave it to you."

Bang: "Please hurry." He pleaded as the S-Class hero disappeared into the ground.

Genos: "It's futile, there's no time...! At this point I'll need to amplify the power as much as possible and take out any remaining enemies with me!" He explained. "Everyone retreat to outside of 5 kilometre radius as quickly as possible."

Fubuki: "Self destructing...?!!" She said in panic and concern.

Genos: "Please let sensei and Dr kuseno know that I apologized for my inexperience." He said with a disappointed face.

Bang: "Fool! Young people should never give in to despair so easily!! Prisoner will bring back child emperor very soon!! You must endure until then!!" He told him.

Fubuki slowly began to walk towards Genos, her face showing no emotion.

Inko: "Fubuki..." She muttered with concern as she watched her younger sister walk towards Genos.
