Chapter 58: Redemption part 1

Izuku: "And that's when I realized. What the world needs is not biased Justice... But absolute Unbiased evil. A true peace through unbiased fear that heroes just can't achieve."

He explained, his face determined and serious.

Izuku: "A half-assed peace made by the heroes just makes humans complacent in their hearts, and that complacency leads to evil deeds. Also, Humans aren't always punished for their misdeeds. That's the crucial difference between them and monsters. An imperfect, fake brand of peace that turns humans evil..."

He explained, gesturing his hands around.

Izuku: "A peace where you can't even make things right for two little brats getting picked on in the corner of the park... I knew in my heart what I had to do. I would renounce that kind of peace."

He said, clenching his fist.

Izuku: "I'D GET STRONGER THAN EVERYONE ELSE! I'D BECOME THE ABSOLUTE MONSTER! THAT NO JUSTICE COULD EVER TAKE DOWN!"

He declared, his face filled with anger and energy.

Officer: "...You do realize this is a dine-and-dash investigation. Do you regret what you did?" The officer asked with deadpan, sweating slightly.

There was a long, awkward silence as Izuku stared him down, still lost in his speech about absolute evil and flawed justice, clearly expecting thunderous applause or at least understanding.

Suddenly—

WHACK!!

Bang smacked Izuku on the back of the head with his fist, making Izuku stumble forward.

Bang: "Answer the question that he asked!"

Izuku: "Aghh!!"

Timeskip

The sliding doors opened with a soft hiss as Bang and Izuku stepped outside.

Without a word, Bang turned to face the station and gave a polite, respectful bow. At the same time, he placed a firm hand on the back of Izuku's neck and forced him into a deep bow alongside him.

Neither of them said a word as they walked off into the busy street, blending into the crowd as the people passed by.

Bang: "What a road it's been. The interrogation about the damage you caused ended last week, too. Now we can finally focus on making the rounds and apologizing to the victims of your hero hunt." He explained as he continued to walk by Izuku's side.

Izuku: "Hmph. Don't tell me what to do. You're not my dad." He grumbled, resting both hands behind his head as he walked.

Bang stayed quiet for a few seconds before replying.

Bang: "......This old head may not be good for much, but being able to bow it for you makes me glad it's still attached. All it takes to become a parent is to have children. But you can't become a teacher without leading the way for them."

He said, catching Izuku off guard as he deepened the meaning of his master's words.

Izuku: "Heh. What the hell." He shrugged it off.

Bang: "You sure gave me a hard time... but it helped that you were in a place that was easy to find."

Flashback

The sound of rushing water filled the air as Bang walked through the forest, stepping carefully over rocks and roots. Sunlight poked through the trees, and the wind rustled the leaves above.
