Two months ago before Izuku joining U.A.

The camera flashes were blinding. The Hero Commission's press hall overflowed with reporters, lenses glinting like hundreds of judgmental eyes. The air buzzed with murmurs, questions, and the faint hum of news drones circling above.

At the podium stood the President of the Hero Public Safety Commission — a woman with sharp eyes, short dark hair, and a practiced calm that barely masked the strain behind her voice.

President: "Four months ago, the world learned that the individual known as the Hero Hunter — responsible for over 125 confirmed assaults on licensed heroes — is, in fact, Izuku Yagi. The son of the former Number One Hero, All Might."

A tidal wave of gasps filled the room. Flashbulbs exploded again. She waited for silence, hands clasped tightly in front of her.

President: "The Commission has worked closely with U.A. High School, the police, and multiple hero agencies to investigate the full extent of Mr. Yagi's actions. During his period as the so-called Hero Hunter, he engaged in combat with several pro heroes, including Kamui Woods, Mirko, Tank Top master, Metal Bat, Puri Puri Prisoner, Super alloy Darkshine, Silverfang, Flashy Flash, and others. Though his methods were violent and highly illegal, no fatalities were recorded. All victims have since recovered."

She paused. Her voice hardened slightly.

President: "The courts have reached their decision. Due to his age, his cooperation during the Monster Association crisis, and the testimony of several heroes including Metal Bat, Silverfang, Eraser head, Terrible Tornado, Hellish blizzard, Endeavour, Izuku Yagi will not face imprisonment. Instead, he will be placed under supervised rehabilitation at U.A. High School."

Reporters' hands shot up, a storm of questions erupting.

Reporter 1: "Is this a pardon?"
Reporter 2: "How can the public trust a boy who nearly killed heroes?"
Reporter 3: "Was All Might involved in hiding his son's actions?"

The President lifted her hand to silence them.

President: "This is not a pardon. It is a probationary agreement. Izuku Yagi will remain under constant supervision by U.A. staff and the Hero Commission. His mentor and legal guardian will be Silverfang — a retired S-Class hero recognized for his guidance and combat ethics."

The words echoed through every news feed across Japan. Screens in cafés, train stations, and hero agencies all carried the same message:

"Hero Hunter Identified as All Might's Son — Placed Under U.A. Supervision."

The fallout was immediate. Hero forums exploded. Students whispered. The Yagi name, once untouchable, now carried the weight of scandal and fear.

Some heroes called it favoritism. Others called it mercy. The public didn't know what to call it at all.

The doors of the dormitory creaked open.

No one was there.

The lights were still on, the air faintly warm, but the building felt hollow — echoes of distant laughter and music bleeding faintly through the walls from the U.A. festival grounds.

Izuku stood in the doorway, his shadow stretching long across the polished floor. His black long-sleeve shirt clung to his body in tatters, torn down the side and soaked through with dark crimson. His white martial arts pants were shredded and streaked with dirt and dried blood.

His breathing came slow and uneven. Each exhale rasped softly against the quiet hum of the building.
