When the cab pulled up to their destination, Leah leaned forward to pay the driver, thanking him with a warm smile. The moment the transaction was done, she stepped out and immediately turned to hold out her hand for Aurora. The streetlights cast a soft glow over her as she stood there, hand extended, a charming grin tugging at her lips.

Aurora placed her hand in Leah's, stepping gracefully out of the car. She raised an eyebrow playfully as she adjusted her dress. "I guess chivalry isn't dead," she teased, her voice laced with amusement.

Leah chuckled, her grin widening. "It might be if you keep looking at me like that," she quipped, her tone light but her eyes sparkling with adoration.

Aurora tilted her head, clearly amused but confused. "Leah, that makes no sense," she replied, a laugh escaping her lips.

"It does," Leah insisted, her face lighting up with determination. "I'll melt if you keep looking at me like that, and if I melt, I'll die. And if I die, chivalry will die too. See? Makes total sense."

Aurora rolled her eyes, the fondness in her expression evident. "That was horrible, Leah. No," she said, shaking her head with a mock-serious expression.

Leah's shoulders slumped dramatically as she pouted, clearly wounded. "I thought it was smart," she said like a disappointed child.

Aurora couldn't help but laugh at the sight. She leaned forward, cupping Leah's face gently, and pressed a soft kiss to her pout. Leah's lips softened under the touch, her hands instinctively finding their way to Aurora's waist, pulling her in closer.

As Aurora pulled away, Leah wasn't ready to let her go. She tilted her head, capturing Aurora's lips again in a deeper, more meaningful kiss. The world around them seemed to fade as Leah poured every ounce of her love and gratitude into the kiss. When they broke apart, Leah rested her forehead against Aurora's, her voice soft but full of awe. "I still can't believe you married me," she whispered, her breath warm against Aurora's lips.

Aurora smiled, her hand brushing gently against Leah's cheek. "Best believe it, amor," she replied, her tone firm but tender. Her fingers traced down to Leah's chest, brushing lightly against her exposed skin beneath the suit jacket.

Leah grinned, pressing another quick kiss to Aurora's lips before lacing their fingers together. "Come on," she said, her voice lighter now, a playful lilt in her tone. "We've got a party to attend, and I need to show off my ridiculously gorgeous wife."

Aurora rolled her eyes again but let Leah guide her toward the venue, their hands intertwined.

The party started off calm, the hum of polite conversation mingling with the soft background music. It felt like a regular get-together at first—nothing too wild, just a chance for everyone to reconnect, reminisce, and relax. The venue was tastefully decorated, fairy lights strung across the walls, their warm glow casting a golden hue over the room. Tables were laden with finger foods and champagne glasses, while bartenders stood behind a sleek bar, ready to mix up whatever drinks were requested.

Aurora and Leah walked in hand-in-hand, their arrival drawing a few heads. Leah's chest swelled with pride as she saw a few subtle nods of approval from her teammates. They were a striking couple, even if most of the room didn't know just how intertwined their lives really were.
