A/N: it may not be the 100th chapter but it's the 100th published part of this book - that's crazy right?????
The morning light had barely started to seep through the curtains when Leah's alarm went off, a soft but persistent sound breaking the silence. She let out a groan, her body still wrapped in warmth, but it wasn't just the blankets. Aurora was curled around her, limbs intertwined like they were trying to hold on to each other in their sleep. Aurora's head was nestled against Leah's neck, her breath soft and steady against her skin, while her arms held Leah close, as if she were unwilling to let go even in her dreams.
Careful not to wake her, Leah shifted slightly, inching her arm free from under Aurora's weight. She held her breath, slipping one leg out, then the other, trying to untangle herself without disturbing Aurora's embrace. But as she pulled away, Aurora stirred, her arms tightening around Leah in a sleepy, automatic reaction.
"Mmm, no," Aurora mumbled, her voice heavy with sleep, as she pulled Leah back against her, burying her face deeper into the crook of Leah's neck. "Stay."
Leah chuckled softly, her hand reaching up to brush a few strands of hair from Aurora's face. "I have to go," she whispered, placing a gentle kiss on Aurora's temple, hoping that would ease her back into sleep.
But Aurora's hold only tightened, and her sleepy protest was joined by a shake of her head. "No," she murmured again, eyes still closed, but a faint, mischievous smile played on her lips. She shifted, her face tilting upward until her lips brushed against Leah's in a lazy, lingering kiss, as if to tempt her back under the blankets.
"Aurora..." Leah whispered, her resolve softening as her fiancée's warmth melted into her. Aurora's sleepy kisses, her gentle tug, everything in that moment made Leah want to forget about her early call and stay right there.
Aurora's hand came up to rest on Leah's cheek, her eyes finally blinking open, a playful gleam peeking through the sleepiness. "One more minute," she murmured, her voice low, coaxing.
Leah laughed, brushing her lips over Aurora's one last time before reluctantly pulling away. "I promise, you'll see me later—at the match," she whispered, slipping free with a smile. Aurora sighed, finally letting go, but her gaze followed Leah.
Leah moved quietly through the room, pulling on her clothes with soft, practiced motions, but Aurora was awake now, watching her with that lazy, sultry gaze that Leah knew too well. Her fiancée lay sprawled across the bed, the covers barely clinging to her, her hair a tangle across the pillow. She propped herself up on one elbow, following Leah's every movement with a smirk that held no intention of letting her leave easily.
As Leah slipped her pyjamas off, Aurora's eyes drifted appreciatively over her bare skin. "You know," she murmured, her voice a low tease, "you'd look much better back here, in bed... with me."
Leah glanced over her shoulder, shaking her head with an amused laugh. "Tempting," she replied, pulling her tracksuit bottoms up. "But you'll have me later, after we win. Celebration's always worth the wait, right?"
Aurora's eyes narrowed in playful protest as she pulled herself up, inching closer to the edge of the bed. "Later?" she echoed, her pout turning into a wicked smile. "But I don't want you later, Leah. I want you now."
Leah paused, her smile softening as she crossed the room and bent down, brushing a quick kiss to Aurora's lips. But as she straightened up to pull on her shirt properly, Aurora's hand shot out, gripping Leah's shirtfront and tugging her down again with surprising strength. Leah's eyes widened in surprise, a quiet moan escaping as Aurora's lips claimed hers with a slow, lingering heat.
Aurora deepened the kiss, her fingers tightening in Leah's shirt, pulling her closer until Leah was nearly on top of her. Leah's pulse quickened, and she could feel Aurora's smile against her lips, that mischievous, unmistakable spark that made it nearly impossible to pull away.
