Leah scooped Mateo up into her arms, grinning from ear to ear as they posed for pictures together as the newlywed family. "Say cheese, my little man!" she exclaimed, and Mateo beamed back at her, his tiny hands reaching for Aurora, who couldn't help but join in the fun, her heart swelling with pride as she nestled close to her family.

With each click of the camera, they captured memories that would last a lifetime , together with their adorable son, each photo a testament to their love.

In the midst of the joyful chaos, Alexia sidled up to Aurora with a teasing smile. "¡Mira! You got married first, Aina! All those times you said I was older and would get married first, and look!" She winked, her playful tone softening the jab.

Aurora couldn't help but mockingly repeat Alexia's words in a high-pitched, childish tone, "You got married first" The laughter that followed echoed warmly through the gathering, but it was short-lived when Aurora noticed Alexia's eyes glistening with unshed tears.

She stepped forward, pulling Alexia into a tight hug, her voice softening. "Hey, why are you crying, hermana?"

Alexia shook her head, trying to wipe away her tears with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "You're married, Aina," she replied, her voice thick with emotion.

Aurora pulled back slightly, searching her friend's face. "That doesn't explain why you're crying," she teased gently, brushing a stray tear away with her thumb.

"It's a big thing," Alexia insisted, her sincerity shining through the humour. "You chose me to be here for it. Of course, I'm going to be emotional."

Aurora couldn't help but chuckle softly. "I think you're just sensitive," she replied with a playful smirk. "I mean, you cried when you found out about Teo. You cried telling Mapi, you cried when he was born, you cried during his first steps and words to you, and you cried when I asked you to be his godmother. You're practically a walking fountain of tears!"

Alexia laughed through her tears, nodding in agreement as she wiped her eyes. "I can't help it!"

Aurora's heart swelled at the depth of Alexia's affection. "I'm glad you're here," she said earnestly, pulling her friend in for another hug. "I wouldn't want anyone else by my side on this day."

They shared a moment, the bond of sisterhood between them stronger than blood, a promise of unwavering support and love.

After the whirlwind of the wedding ceremony and the rush of excitement, Leah, Aurora, and their little family found themselves back at their cosy home. The familiar warmth wrapped around them like a blanket, filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the remnants of their small celebration. Alex and Alexia followed closely behind, a mix of laughter and joy echoing through the hallways.

As they settled into the living room, Alex glanced curiously at the newlyweds, her brow furrowing slightly. "So, why are your surnames slightly different?" she asked, leaning back into the plush couch as Mateo nestled comfortably in Leah's arms, his little fingers grasping at her wedding ring.

Aurora smiled, her gaze flickering to Leah before she answered, "It's easier to change the end of the surname than the start. Plus, Leah can still wear 'Williamson' and not be lying."

Leah chuckled, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Exactly. Originally, it was just going to be 'Williamson,' but I really wanted to include Rory's name too. And Teo's surname is Miro-Blake, so—"
