Leah pushed open the front door, her muscles still warm from her training session. The scent of something sweet wafted through the air, making her smile. She paused for a moment, listening closely. She could hear the familiar sound of Mateo's giggles echoing from the kitchen.

Curious, she walked toward the sounds, her footsteps light but filled with love as she wondered what the two of them were up to. When she stepped into the kitchen, she stopped short, her mouth falling open in surprise.

There was Mateo, sitting proudly in his high chair, his tiny nappy-covered body covered in flour and cupcake batter. His little hands were smeared in the mixture as he happily shoved his hand back into the bowl for another taste.

Aurora was at the counter, her shirt dusted with flour as she wiped down the surfaces, trying to clean up the chaos that was her son's baking adventure. The cupcakes were already in the oven, their sweet aroma filling the room.

Leah leaned against the doorframe, unable to help but chuckle at the sight. "Well, looks like somebody had fun," she said with a grin, watching as Mateo looked up at her with flour all over his face. His wide eyes lit up at the sight of his mama, and his giggle rang out again.

Aurora looked over at her, a soft smile tugging at her lips, though she was trying to hide her exhaustion.

Leah moved toward Mateo, still laughing as she bent down to him. Without missing a beat, she scooped a little bit of cupcake batter with her finger and popped it in her mouth, enjoying the sweet taste.

"Mm, not bad," she teased Mateo, his curious gaze following her every move. He giggled louder, clearly amused by his mama's little act.

She then stood up, walking over to Aurora. Without warning, Leah leaned in and pressed her lips to Aurora's, catching her by surprise. The kiss was slow, tender, and playful as Leah hummed against her lips.

When they broke apart, Leah pulled back just a little and grinned, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "Mmm... don't know what's tastier... cupcake batter, cupcakes, or you," she teased, letting her words linger in the air.

Aurora's face flushed, a quiet laugh escaping her lips. "Behave," she murmured, trying to hide the soft smile tugging at her cheeks.

Leah didn't listen. Instead, she kissed her again, this time with a little more intensity, making sure to add a touch of tongue, as though savouring every moment. When they broke apart again, she smirked. "Definitely you."

Aurora rolled her eyes playfully. "Shut up," she whispered, her voice full of affection despite the teasing words.

Their playful moment was interrupted by a loud sound coming from Mateo. They both turned to look at him and burst out laughing. Mateo had, in his excitement, leaned forward and stuck his face completely into the bowl of cupcake batter. His little giggles echoed as he looked up at them, his face a mess of flour and sticky mixture.

Aurora threw her hands up in the air dramatically. "¡Dios mío! Leah, he's your son. You can clean him up," she said, laughter bubbling in her voice. "That's exactly what you used to do when we were kids!"

Leah turned her gaze from Mateo to Aurora, her laughter escaping her lips as she leaned over the counter, shaking her head. "Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," she teased, her voice full of warmth and amusement.

Mateo, completely unaware of why his mamas were laughing, lifted his head from the bowl, flour smearing across his cheeks and chin. He looked between them, his little face scrunching up in confusion but smiling with joy. "Mama!" he giggled, his words coming out all jumbled. "Mama!"

Leah chuckled and walked over to him, bending down to gently wipe the mess from his face, her hands soft and gentle as she cleaned him up. "I got you, my little troublemaker," she said lovingly, brushing flour away from his little nose.
