Today I was going to learn how to read!
I've never been to school before and I've never had a teacher. Mommy and Daddy didn't believe in taking us to school. They said we didn't deserve to learn.
I'm starting to think that a lot of things Mommy and Daddy have told us were wrong and were lies.
Odin tried his best to teach us stuff but it didn't work out very well.
The tutor that Oakley had coming for us today was actually an old tutor of the quadruplets and Oakley said she was very nice and not like Ms. Madison. He also said that he told her that I don't really talk to strangers.
So hopefully it will go well! I was excited.
"Jenifer? Um, I want you to stay close to me when the tutor is here, okay?" Owen said to me. He looked nervous, maybe even a little scared.
"Of course, I will stay close to you. When am I not close to you?" I smiled at him. Maybe he was just a little nervous to learn.
"Okay good because this lady might be mean like Ms. Madison and I don't want you to get hurt."
I tilted my head at him. "Owen, I don't think that she will be mean. Oakley said she was really nice and that she was their tutor too!"
"Yeah but still. She is a stranger to us. We won't know how she really is until we meet her and I just want you to stay safe okay?"
I think that Owen was being a little silly but I didn't want him to get mad at me and I know that he means well. "Okay, Owen. I will stay with you until we know she is safe."
"Thanks, Jenny."
"You're welcome."
We still had a little bit of time before the tutor was supposed to come. So I decided I was going to explore some more of the room.
Our room was the size of our whole house it was so big. It was built for four people so it was huge. It had two main sides: one that had a baby blue accent wall, and the other had blue bunk beds and more boy toys like cars, trains, and swords.
Then there was my side which had a light pink accent wall with pink bunk beds and more girl toys like dolls, princess dresses, and the cutest stuffed animals.
Each side was like the size of one bedroom and each side had its own attached bathroom. It was like they took two big bedrooms and combined them into one mega bedroom!
I still couldn't believe that this was our new life. We went from living in a basement with no bed, no light, and no food to now where we have four beds, so much light, two bathrooms, and we get to eat whenever we want! The only thing missing was Odin.
Odin would love it here. I think that he would be friends with Oakley and Oliver.
He could stay in this room with us. We have two extra beds!
I really hope that he is okay.
"Jenifer? What's wrong." Owen said.
I turned and looked at him "What do you mean?"
"You look sad. What are you thinking about?"
"N-nothing. Don't worry about it."
"Jenifer-"
"I just- I just really wish that Odin was here." I felt like crying again.
Owen wrapped me up in a hug. "Me too but Jenifer we need to just learn to live without him. Maybe one day we will find him but we have new brothers and sisters now so we will be okay!"
