This was my third time being in a cell within the past month. My head hurt, my wrist in tight shackles, I was sure I had been drugged, and worst of all... I had no idea where any of my siblings were.

————— 8 hours earlier ——————-

Everything seemed to be going to shit right now.

Between my sister's secrets, my brother's lies, still worrying about the twins, and the still looming punishment from my father for sneaking out... I was just about at my wit's end.

Jenifer was with June and Janae, now doing a " girls' day," so Oliver and I had invited Owen with the two of us to work out in the gym.

Let's just say he had a blast. It had been a while since I saw him that happy.

I think more than anything he just liked being with Oliver and I but, he was enjoying lifting his 5 pound weight as well.

"Is this how you get big muscles? You lift heavy things," Owen asked.

Oliver smirked, "yeah, pretty much. Except make sure to watch me because my muscles are much bigger than Oaks."

I rolled my eyes. "He is obviously lying to you Owen, don't believe a word he says."

This made him burst into sweet giggles. "You guys are funny!"

I smiled at him. He was so sweet.

I think the twins have changed our lives in the best way possible. They were like a puzzle piece that had always been missing in the four of us.

We were supposed to have more siblings.

I had told them that I would help them find their older brother, but to be honest, I had done no such thing.

No older brother who would leave their baby siblings in such a condition deserves the title of brother.

Not only that but they were much safer and treated well here.

I was prepared for the twins to possibly be upset at never seeing their brother again but I am positive that by the time they are older they will realize that he didn't actually care for them and maybe they will forget about him completely.

I wasn't trying to sound selfish but the thought of the twins, who I now viewed as my own siblings, being abused anymore and not properly taken care made my blood boil.

"I'm hungry!" Owen announced, signalling that it was almost time for dinner.

Oliver picked him up and placed Owen on his shoulders, "Well then we better go see what we're eating."

The three of us made our way upstairs only to find that the girls had finished their "girls' day" and were heading to the same place as us.

All three looked happy which made me glad. Jenifer especially deserved some happiness.

Owen immediately ran up to his sister. The two began to whisper to each other about the activities they had done today.

"I see you guys had a good time, she seems very excited," I spoke to my sisters about Jenifer.

June smiled, "She had a great time until the end when she got sad all of a sudden. We went from all three of us laughing to her almost in tears. We managed to calm her down a little bit and make her happy again but she wouldn't tell us what happened."

I wasn't sure what to do with Jenifer, I of course wanted her to speak more and realize that we were not going to hurt her but I also wanted to make sure we didn't rush her to do anything she didn't want to.
