 I was mad.

Mad at Odin.

Why was he here?

Why was he holding Jenifer?

Why were we here?

Where were we?

Where were Oakley, Oliver, June, and Janae?

So many questions.

Too many questions. It was making my head hurt.

"Owen, I know you are probably scared right now-"

"NO!" I shouted. "GO AWAY!"

I pulled Jenifer to me and I was NOT letting her go.

There were two other people in here, and I was not sure who they were or what they were supposed to be doing.

The girl's name was Jasmine. She had told us that.

She also had told us that Oakley, Oliver, June, and Janae were in cells.

I wanted the four of them. Not .... Him.

Hitting Odin... there, was not my original intention, but I didn't really regret it.

I wanted him away.

"Owen? What are you doing?" Jenifer whispered so that only I could hear her.

"I don't want to ever see him again. He left us," I told Jenifer.

She looked conflicted.

"You left me, too."

That was true, but I didn't want to think about it.

"That was different. I went looking for him. I had a good reason, and I came back for you."

She still had a sad look on her face.

"You could have brought me with you. Or at least told me where you were going!" She raised her voice slightly. Still staying quiet enough where no one would hear her.

"I didn't want you to get in any trouble for it. The less you knew, the safer you would be."

"Well, that didn't work! I just got hurt more because I couldn't tell them anything about you or Odin!"

She then pushed herself away from me and went to Odin, who picked her up immediately.

She had never done that before.

Never yelled at me like that or chose anyone over me.

I didn't mean to make her upset.

"Can I talk to you two? Maybe clear some things up?" Odin asked.

I didn't really want to talk to him, but I did want to know what he had to say about leaving us.

Jenifer nodded her head.

She hadn't spoken to Odin yet, which made me just a little bit happy.

He didn't deserve her words.

There were also two other people in the room. Jasmine and Mason, who were both really tall and scary looking.

He sat down on the floor, still holding onto Jenifer.

"Okay, I will go first." He began talking.

"When I left you two that night. I meant to go and win my match and then return to you guys."

Odin was a fighter. I knew that. He would leave us at night to go to fights and bring home money for us in the morning.

"And I almost did exactly that. I won and was about to go collect my prize money when I was attacked. This group of large men started to attack me because they were upset about the match."
