They all knew the second we walked in through Blaire's door.
"You two are lucky my parents don't pay for premium or check their phones a lot, because if I get in trouble due to you two living out some exhibitionist dream or some shit - I would be really pissed." Blaire said with a sigh as she handed me a water bottle. I glanced over to the living room, shaking my head as Addison decided to pour everyone two shots. It was a good thing I was the designated driver tonight.
I gave Blaire a shy smile as I uncapped the bottle, "I'm sorry. I told Addison it wasn't necessarily appropriate...but, you know when she gets an idea in her head."
"Eck, you don't need to explain any further. We could barely see anything. The camera just notified me that someone parked in the driveway and once the windows fogged up...wait, why am I still talking about this?" She shook her head and laughed as I made my way to the couch. Except, as soon as I sat by Addison and draped an arm around her, she shot up in her seat to run for the cupboards.
"What are you doing?" Blaire interjected as she followed after her. "You're lucky my mom hoards a shit ton of alcohol, just don't pick a bottle that's over forty dollars or she'll kill me. We're lucky enough that my parents aren't home this weekend."
I heard Addison yell back, "Shush woman!" A pause ensued, "Who the hell drinks Ketel One Botanical? I don't want to drink a flower while getting intoxicated." Blaire returned from the kitchen, her eyes looking back to make sure Addison didn't fall off the counter top then focusing on pouring a shot.
More clinking continued, and I made a move to go help her but Blaire shook her head.
"I got this," she took the shot then sighed. She went back into the kitchen, and I tapped my fingers against my knee. I hope Addy wasn't climbing anything too tall.
"Addison! Just pick a fucking bottle! Stop being so picky, it's not like you're a vodka connoisseur."
"Pfft, girl. I know my vodka." We heard rummaging of more cabinet doors until she screeched out, "Ah ha! Ciroc! I'm a winner!" Wait, wasn't that an expensive bottle?
Blaire didn't seem to care, in fact, she looked a bit relieved that Addison finally picked something as they made their way back to us. The blonde looked me in the eyes before she sat by June, "Melanie, you are so responsible for this girl tonight." I shrugged and leaned closer to Addison as she unwrapped the vodka bottle. I took care of the plastic trash from the table, and leaned over to kiss my girlfriend on the cheek.
I responded, "I know, I'm designated driver tonight anyway. I'm going to let her celebrate, she definitely deserves it after winning her spot at regionals." Addison smiled brightly at me before pouring a shot for herself and her friend, Riley, who was apparently Adrienne's childhood friend and Addison's tennis captain. Even though I could have sworn that Riley was dating June and June hated Adrienne just a bit ago...I don't know. Honestly, I've been too focused on my relationship with Addison to focus on my friend's relationship shenanigans.
Nevertheless, I glanced over at Adrienne and June, who seems to cuddle closely together as they watched the events of Addison unfold before them.
"Uh huh, I'm definitely celebrating. I'm so soooo happy I was able to win a regional spot in my last year, plus Riley also won too! She deserves a shot!" Addison slurred, and I opened my water bottle to give to her. We've only been here for an hour, and she was getting way too close to wasted status. I rubbed her shoulders carefully while she glanced at the water hesitantly before taking a swig.
