Max's POV:
Max and I had plans to go on a date together today, but of course, it had to start raining. It was raining pretty hard, and normally, I'm not a fan of rain or anything like that, but it is kind of nice to look at and listen to once in a while.
I arrived at El's house in my rain gear so that our plans weren't completely cancelled. It rained almost the whole day, and El and I were pretty disappointed that it made us cancel our plans, but at least we're still spending time together.
Right now, El and I are sitting on her bed together, trying to come up with a new plan.
Me: "I just really want us to do something today."
El: "But what, though? There's not really a whole lot to do inside, aside from some of the games in the other room, but those aren't exactly that fun."
Me: "That makes sense."
There's silence for a few seconds, and then, El starts talking again.
El: "Maybe we could try to make the most out of the rain. I mean, rain never hurts anything."
Me: "True, but a heavy rainfall like this might."
El: "Yeah, you're right. I guess I've just always wanted to know what it's like to play in the rain. Of course, I've never had the chance to do so because of being in the lab my almost my whole life, so..."
Me: "Well... maybe, we can create that feeling together."
El's face lit up a little with excitement.
El: "You'd be willing to do that with me??"
Me: "Of course, El. You're my girlfriend, I'd always be willing do anything with you."
El: "Aww, you're so sweet. But wait, don't you hate rain?"
Me: "Sometimes, but I can definitely make an exception."
El: "Awesome!! I'll go get my rain stuff!"
Me: "I'll get mine, too!"
After El and I both put our rain gear on, we open the door to see that it's still raining, and slowly, we step outside together and close the door behind us. We smile at each other and interlock fingers.
Me: "Ready for some fun?"
El: "You bet."
Me: "Let's do it."
With that, both El and I shout happily as we sprint out into the rain. This whole moment is filled with so many fun and happy moments, giggling, catching rain on our tongues, splashing in puddles, helping El create the feeling of being a normal kid.
At one point, I looked over and saw El jumping in the mud. The way she was giggling, it looked like she really enjoys it.
Eventually, the rain slowed down, then completely stopped. This disappointed us a bit, but at least we got to spend a great deal of fun rain time outside. When we went back inside, we hung up our rain gear for it to dry. El and I head back to her room.
El: "That was so much fun!"
Me: "I know, it felt so good to just play in the rain. It really does make you feel like a normal kid."
El: "Yeah, it certainly does."
Somehow, the both us got a little tired, so we lied down in her bed while cuddled up against each other.
Me: "You know, if it doesn't rain again, we could still make plans for our date later."
El: "Mmm, let's wait until tomorrow. Somehow, I feel tired from all that running around in the rain."
Me: "Me, too. But hey, it's worth the wait."
El: *giggles* "Yeah, it is."
El and I share a kiss. When we pull away, she nuzzles into my chest. I wrap my arms around her and rest my chin on top of her head. Pretty soon, we fell asleep in each other's arms.
