A/N: El sees a spider for the first time and gets scared.

Max's POV:
El and I were at the cabin. It was late at night, and Hopper was out on a date with Joyce. We were in the middle watching the original Halloween, then in the middle of it, El said she had to use the bathroom. I paused the movie so that she wouldn't miss it. About a minute or two passed and it sounded like she was almost done. Suddenly, I heard her scream like something had scared her.
El: "MAX, GET IN HERE! HURRY!"
I quickly got up and went into the bathroom. I saw her standing on the toilet and she looked pretty shaken.
Me: "What's the matter, El?"
El shakily points to something in the bathtub. I go to look, and it's a spider. I hadn't realized that El has never seen one before, so I had to explain.
Me: "Oh, it's just a spider."
She looked confused.
El: "Spi... der?"
God, she's adorable.
Me: "Yeah, it's nothing to be scared of. They won't hurt you."
I grabbed a paper towel, then went over to the spider and grabbed it. I wrap it up, then gesture to El to get off the toilet. When she does, I throw the wad in there, then flush the toilet, closing the lid.
Me: "There, that takes care of that."
El hugs me. I couldn't help but hug back, her hugs feel so good.
El: "Thank you, Maxy."
Me: "Don't worry, El. I'll always be here to help."
When we pull away, she smiles and we share a small kiss. We leave the bathroom and go back into the living room. We sit back on the couch, El resting her legs on my lap, then we resume the movie.
