A/N: modified from another book.
No One's POV: 
Max was sitting on the couch and watching TV. She had her bare feet up on the little table in front of her, having finally had the chance to do so because her mom hates when she does it. No surprise there. Max was the only one in her house, though, so she was finally relaxed with them on the table. She also had on a cute little top and shorts because it was hot. 
Just then, the doorbell sounded. Max paused the TV and got up off the couch. She went up to the door and opened it. An employee from their local pizzeria was standing there. 
Employee: "Are you Ms..." 
He looks at the box. 
Employee: "Mayfield?" 
Max: "Umm, yeah..." 
Employee: "Excellent. I have a pizza delivery for you." 
Max looks at the pizza, then at the employee. 
Max: "Uhh... I think you might be mistaken. I didn't order any pizza." 
Employee: "Ah, well... it's on the house." 
Max lit up. 
Max: "Ooo, in that case, gimme!" 
Max grabs the pizza, then closes the door on the guy's face. Max walks over to the couch and sits down. She puts the pizza on the table in front of her. 
Max: "Alright, time to dig into this delicious pie." 
Max opens the box, then is suddenly blinded by something. She couldn't see it because it happened so fast. She wipes her eyes and sees that inside the box was a different pie than she thought. She realizes she'd been pranked. 
Max: "What the fu-" 
The front door is knocked on, so Max tries to wipe off her face as much as she can. She walks over and opens the door, and her girlfriend, El, is revealed to be standing there with a smile on her face. 
El: "Enjoying your pie?" 
El bursts out laughing. Turns out El paid a delivery guy to help her with the prank. Max's expression quickly changed into anger. 
Max: "YOU..." 
El just gets closer and places a kiss on Max's lips. Her expression then calms back down to normal. 
Max: "That was a good prank. Come here." 
Max wraps her arms around El and kisses her. El immediately kisses back as Max then pulls El inside and closes the door.
