Your back pressed against the cool surface of the locker, and you barely noticed the world around you. Peter's hands rested gently on your waist, while yours were locked around his neck, pulling him closer. His lips were warm, soft, and moving in sync with yours. It wasn't often that you two got to have moments like this during school, so when the chance presented itself, you seized it.

Peter pulled you even closer, his hand slipping to your lower back, and your breath hitched as you deepened the kiss. Your heart raced, the world fading until it was just the two of you. There was nothing else but Peter-his smell, his touch, his presence. He was everything in that moment.

You didn't notice the sound of footsteps approaching or the slight pause in conversation as two figures stopped right beside you.

"Ahem," someone cleared their throat, but you and Peter ignored it.

"Ugh, seriously?" The voice grumbled, followed by a second throat clearing.

You felt Peter grin against your lips, clearly aware of the situation but not caring. You smiled too, amused at whoever was trying to interrupt.

And then suddenly, in one swift, unexpected move, Peter was yanked away from you, and not in a gentle way. His head tilted back, and his body stumbled as if someone had grabbed him by his hair.

"OW! What the hell?!" Peter yelped, rubbing the back of his head as he regained his balance. His brown curls were mussed from the force, and his expression was a mix of shock and indignation.

You blinked in surprise, finally tearing your gaze away from Peter to see MJ standing there with an annoyed expression. Ned was beside her, trying (and failing) to hide his laughter.

"I need my best friend," MJ said, her voice flat and unapologetic. She didn't even spare Peter another glance before grabbing your hand. "Come on."

You barely had time to react before MJ started dragging you away. "What-MJ, wait!" You called, glancing over your shoulder at Peter, who was still standing there, looking utterly baffled. He rubbed his scalp where MJ had pulled his hair, his lips still parted as if he couldn't believe what had just happened.

"I'll-uh-catch up with you later, okay?" Peter called after you, waving awkwardly.

You gave him a sympathetic look as MJ marched forward, her grip on your hand firm but not painful. "Sorry, babe!" You called back before turning your attention to MJ.

"Did you had to yank him by his hair?" You asked, trying to stifle a laugh.

MJ gave you a sidelong glance, her lips twitching. "Yes. Yes, I did." Her deadpan delivery made it hard to tell if she was joking or not. "You two were practically glued together. I thought I'd have to peel you off him."

You rolled your eyes. "We were just kissing."

"Just kissing?" Ned snorted from behind you, catching up as the three of you walked down the hall. "If that was 'just kissing,' then Peter's been giving us the PG version whenever we've seen him with you."

MJ nodded in agreement, her tone mock-serious. "If we didn't intervene, you two would've forgotten the school exists."

You sighed, though you couldn't help but smile. "Okay, okay, I get it. But next time, maybe don't rip Peter's hair out? He needs that."

"Eh, he's got plenty of hair. He'll survive," MJ replied, waving off your concern. "Besides, I needed my best friend."

You shook your head, amused. "So what's so important that you had to drag me away from Peter?"

MJ stopped walking and turned to face you, her eyes narrowing as she studied you carefully. "First of all, we need to talk about your unhealthy obsession with Peter."

Your eyebrows shot up. "Unhealthy? You're one to talk! You've known Peter, like, twice as long as I've known him, and you still find ways to annoy him."

MJ shrugged nonchalantly. "Yeah, but I don't go full-on makeout session in the middle of the hallway anyone."

"Thank you," Ned chimed in, holding up a finger. "I've been saying that for ages!"

"Okay, okay," you said with a laugh. "Maybe we got a little carried away."

"A little?" MJ raised an eyebrow.

You gave her an exasperated look, but before you could reply, MJ's expression softened. "Look, I'm happy for you guys, really. But you know I'm going to give you a hard time about it."

"That's MJ's way of showing love," Ned added, grinning.

"Exactly," MJ said. "You two are just too cute sometimes. It's gross."

You rolled your eyes again, though you couldn't help but feel a warmth in your chest. MJ's teasing was her way of showing she cared, and you appreciated it, even if it meant getting yanked away from Peter mid-kiss.

"Well, you don't have to worry about me turning into a lovesick zombie," you said, smiling. "I promise I'll still hang out with you guys."

"Good," MJ said, satisfied. "Because I wasn't about to lose my best friend to Peter Parker, of all people."

You chuckled, knowing MJ's sarcastic humor meant the opposite. She liked Peter, even if she didn't always show it.

"Speaking of Peter," Ned chimed in, glancing down the hall. "He's still standing there, looking like a lost puppy."

You turned to see Peter, who had indeed followed you guys at a distance, his eyes flicking between you and the group. He gave you an awkward wave, clearly unsure if it was safe to approach.

"Come on, Parker!" MJ called out, her voice sharp but playful. "You can join us. We won't bite."

Peter jogged over, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "You could've just asked nicely, you know," he mumbled, shooting MJ a look.

MJ shrugged. "Where's the fun in that?"

Peter shook his head, exasperated but smiling. He reached for your hand again, squeezing it gently as you both fell into step with Ned and MJ.

"You okay?" You asked Peter softly, your thumb brushing over his knuckles.

He grinned. "Yeah, but remind me to never let MJ near my hair again."

You laughed, leaning your head on his shoulder. "Deal."

As the four of you continued down the hall, you couldn't help but feel lucky. You had Peter, your amazing and goofy boyfriend, and your friends, who, despite all the teasing, always had your back. Even if that meant pulling Peter away when things got a little too heated.
